MEMORY LOST

Steward Bass handed Mora over to two locals, he is the Agora's family steward, they brought her home, with a brown envelope.

One of them carrying Mora stood, while the other went and knocked on the door, an aged woman opened the door slightly and peered from inside.

“Hey, who are you looking for?” she asked.

Mama Sarah was popular among the peasants “Mama Sarah, is me, Peter, a good Samaritan gave Mora to us, we brought her home” he responded.

The old woman's eyes widened, she flung the door open, and saw her daughter hanging on someone's shoulder “please, bring her in, quickly, is she alright?” she asked.

They brought her in and the aged woman instructed them to put her on the bed, Mora was mumbling while sleeping.

“My child, she looks so pitiful-” Mama Sarah lamented, close to tears.

“We take our leave now,” Peter said, the woman nodded, thanking them, before she bade them goodbye.

While the two locals were leaving, some meters away from the farmhouse, “do you think we should tell mama Sarah about the steward of the Agora family?” one of them asked.

“It won't be good if we do, we might get into trouble” the other responded.

While Philip's family were in a sober mood about his departure of Philip, two men arrived at the door, and both of them wore suits.

One of them stepped forward and knocked, “who is at the door? Philip, have you not gone yet?” a voice came behind the door.

The men stood in wait, the moment the door unlocked, the two of them pounced in, shutting the door behind them, while holding their guns readily, pointing at the middle-aged lady who opened the door.

“Where is your son, Philip?” the gun muzzle directed at the middle-aged lady's face, made her pale, she stared at them in horror.

“Don't hurt my mommy” Philip's younger sister cried out and ran over to her mother, one of their assailant pulled away from her mother.

“Please, don't hurt my little girl, what has my son done to you? He isn't a bad person” the middle-aged lady lamented, Philip's younger brother came in, when he heard the commotion from his room.

“Why are they attacking us, mother?” his lips quivered, and he gripped his mother, the little girl started screaming.

“Shut her open!” the other one roared at the man holding the little girl hostage.

Bang!

a gunshot rang, quietening the family of three immediately, shock, and horror, registered on their faces.

They turned to the girl who slumped on the floor bleeding, a pool of blood formed on the marble floor.

The middle-aged lady gasped “my daughter” she crawled on the floor, towards her body like a deranged person.

The man kicked her away “where is your son, or I shoot this boy” he gestured a nod towards the younger brother of Philip, and the middle-aged lady's body stiffened.

Fear clouded her eyes, “he left home minutes ago, let me call him” she quickly scampered away to get her phone.

She returned with it, with shaking hands And dialled

Philip's number, but the call didn't go through, the phone was switched off, and couldn't be reached.

“Damn!” the sound of the automobile response, infuriated their assailants, and they were all killed by their guns, the two of them absconded afterwards, after assassinating the family of three.

As the sun rose in the sky, Mora's eyes fluttered when the sun rays penetrated the room, her eyes flickered, and she stirred awake while lying on the bed.

Her lips pale, she looked to her side and saw her mother ready to leave the house “Mora, you are awake, I bought some medicine, eat, and then take them, I will be back soon, Madam Vanessa is visiting the farm” she said.

Mora simply nodded, she felt sore in between her legs, and doesn't want the old lady to know about it, the woman left.

Mora stood from the bed, and went to the bathroom to clean herself, she ate and took her purse, leaving for the hospital.

The alarm clock in Lycan's room buzzed, he straightened up, and looked around the room, he touched his tempo, feeling an unusual slight headache.

He shook his head, attempting to remember how he ended up in his room from the party, but he couldn't, he slammed on the annoying buzzing alarm clock.

Suddenly, his phone rang compounding his frustration, he picked up the call immediately when he saw the caller “Mayor Lycan, I am sorry to call you very early, are we still expecting you, sir?” a voice asked from his cellphone.

“Of course, doctor Sun, I will be right there, just give me some time,” he said.

“No problem, Mayor Lycan, we were just worried that you don't approve of us"

Mayor Lycan chuckled, “nothing of such” the conversation ended in a lighter mood, and mayor Lycan went to take his bath.

The words of the doctor devastated Mora, when she came out of the doctor's office, she dug her fingernails into the flesh of her palm.

“How did I lose my virginity!?” she exclaimed absentmindedly, suddenly, she became conscious of her environment and saw that patients in the lounge area were staring at her.

“Sorry” she mumbled.

And blushed in embarrassment, she held her purse tightly and ran away, she wasn't looking at where she was running to.

And bumped into Mayor Lycan, she rammed her forehead on his nose lower region, she held her throbbing head immediately.

“Are you okay, Mayor Lycan?” Doctor Sun inquired, his body trembled in fright if the news that the Mayor got hurt while in his hospital.

Madam Vanessa won't spare him “I am fine, how about the lady?” he pointed at her, his eyes squinted at her, she looked familiar, but he couldn't just remember where he knew her.

The familiar voice sent goosebumps all over Mora's body, she ran away quickly, afraid of being caught ht, and everyone turned to her amused by her reaction.

“She looked scared” a nurse started gossiping from behind, “she is lucky, she would have been in jail for attempting to seduce the Mayor" another nurse slandered her.
