Chapter Six

After reading the message, I wasn't myself in that hotel room. I tried to call the number that sent the message, but it didn't pick up. I hurriedly took our bag since we hadn't unpacked. I checked out the front desk immediately without even paying attention to the details.

I was just asking the moon goddess to keep Kelly safe. When I stepped outside the hotel, a black Lamborghini was waiting outside. I knew it was his car because I saw it among the cars in the parking lot when we escaped from the hospital.

When I looked behind me, there was someone following. I pretended not to see him while looking around for the signal that this was the car. The man got closer, and I was grabbing my pepper spray when he whispered Prince Reagan.

"What?" I asked, turning towards him.

"Prince Reagan sent me. He wants you to remember that he has your friend before you try anything stupid."

I rolled my eyes, then followed him to the Lamborghini.
