Chapter Five

With his hot mouth fused to mine, I couldn't think straight. I didn't know when my hand went round his neck but I held on tight for my dear life. He was kissing me like I was his last meal, nipping, sucking, and teasing. While his hands were all over me. He grabbed my rear end tighter, I gasped, which allowed him to slip his tongue into my mouth, and Explore inside of it.

He started nipping my throat, I felt his sharp canine glaze my neck, He continued kissing the same place before stopping abruptly.

"I can't feel your wolf, why can't my Lycan feel it?" He asked.

I came to my senses immediately, then pushed him with all the strength I had in me. He fell backward before he caught himself since he was not expecting me to push him.

I tried to escape through the door but Brian was standing on it before I could reach it, When I turned, I was faced with an angry Reagan. His eye color was no longer green, it was pitch black.

He prowled to where I was and tried to grab me but I sidetracked him and ran to the other side of the room.

"Come here now" He growled out.

I just stood rooted to where I was, not moving an inch.

Beta Jax and Maggie were looking at the both of us with their mouth open.

"Prince Reagan calm down you are scaring them here, Do you want to lose her," Brian asked him.

"No, and I won't lose her" He growled out.

"You wouldn't but she is afraid of you. Do you want to scare her to death?" Brian said while I scoffed.

He shoot me a look before focusing on Reagan who had visibly calmed down. His canines were back in, and his accessing green eyes were looking at me. He took in my features one by one making the butterflies in my stomach intensify.

He turned to Maggie who froze beside the door, "Get out, and don't let anyone in here till we were done."

She took to her heels immediately, not waiting to be told twice. I tried to follow her too but the sound of his voice stopped me.

"Come take a sit now and don't let me say it twice" He commanded using his Lycan tone.

I sat down since I couldn't disobey, but I made sure to voice how I felt about it.

"Does using your Lycan tone on me make you feel like a man, Asshole?"

"Alix don't... Jax whispered.

He took a seat opposite me, then rebutted his cloth before turning to Beta Jax.

"I will refund you for every damage to your office that was caused by my actions; you can send it to my team, Beta Jax."

Jax shook his head immediately and said, "Of course not, sir; I believe we can restore everything that may have been damaged. Besides, this is common when you meet your mate for the first time."

I hissed, "I know you have money to throw around since you were here before the beginning of time and shit like that, but you should apologize and not offer to throw money at us like we are dogs."

Beta Jax froze, and Brian gasped like something unspeakable had just happened.

"If you ever talk to me like that again, I will have everyone you hold dear executed for treason," He said, glaring at me like he wanted me to make another statement.

"What is her name, and why can't I feel her wolf?" He asked Jax.

"Alix Morgana Stone, sir. She has no wolf, Alpha, I presume; there is more to the story, but only her late father, Alpha Kish Stone, knows the full story."

"What wait? My Eresthai has no wolves. , How would we mate? How would she rule Lycans with me if I couldn't turn her?" He growled out, then held his head like he couldn't understand what was happening.

I wanted to say that I didn't want to mate with him either, that I didn't want to live my carefully organized life and become the princess of a bunch of assholes. I didn't want a mate at all, at least not a misogynist asshole who called me an ill-mannered banshee, but I didn't want to risk the lives of people I care about.

Brian, take her out of the room and make sure she doesn't leave the hospital grounds; be four steps away from where she is till I come down."

"What about you, Prince Reagan? I can't just leave you here; I am your guard."

Reagan shot him a look, then waved his fingers like he was dismissing him, saying, "You will be protecting the future queen. Leave now."

Wait, Queen? Things were progressing at a fast rate, and I wasn't going to allow myself to be mated to that misogynist pig. But I needed to think before acting, so I sent Kelly a message to meet at my office while I was in the elevator with Brian. He tried to make some talk, but I wasn't in the mood, So I ignored him. I visualized running from the elevator once it opened, but Brian was ten times bigger than I was. I wasn't going to make it far before he got me, So I pretended to agree with their decision and led him to my office.

Immediately I opened the door, Kelly was standing akimbo behind it, Almost giving me a heart attack.

"Jesus, Kelly, you scared the hell out of me."

She scoffed, Jeez, your message made me run from Ward 2 to here, so what's wrong?"

"Let's see down first and bring out your phone, so he doesn't hear us."

"He?" She looked behind me. "Girl, who is that? Your mate or a patient?"

"Neither, So sit down already."

She sat down, then turned to Brian and said, "Wait, I remember you from the club last night; why are you here? If you're harassing my girl, you shouldn't try that with us, trust me."

Brian didn't say a word but stood like a statue beside the door.

I didn't want to use my powers to try and talk to her because I always feel weak after I'm done using them, and I needed all my strength for this escape plan.

Kelly, look at your damn phone and stop talking."

She took a heavy breath, then pulled her phone out. She read for a while, then gasped, "You are not joking, right? This better not be a joke."

I scowled. Kelly, for god's sake, focus and read the last thing I wrote. Do I look like I'm joking?"

She looked at me and nodded, then typed into the phone.

'I will leave first, then wait for you behind the window. You will pretend that you want to go to the bathroom and escape through the window; I will have the car on standby waiting for you."

Ok, I hope it works. I typed.

She placed her phone in her lab coat and stood up, saying, Goodbye, Alix; I have patients to take care of."

"Ok, I'll be there later," I said, still invested in my phone.

A few minutes later, Kelly sent me a message saying that everything was done. I slipped my phone and my card into my bag and started rubbing my stomach and squeezing my face like there was something wrong. I slapped my stomach two times, then stood up.

"What is wrong, princess?" Brian was already by my side to help me.

"I think what I ate does not agree with me; I have to use the restroom or I may spill on my clothes," I answered, then stood up.

"I will accompany you, princess," Brian said, standing up too.

I pretended to be okay with that: "Okay, Could you help me hold my bag while I am in there?"

Brian nodded and said, "Of course, princess", He took my bag, and I rushed off to the bathroom with him following me. He stood at the door, waiting for me. When I entered the bathroom.

I hurriedly stepped on the toilet seat and hoisted myself out of the window. Kelly held my head and slowly helped me down.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, but we've got to get out of here first before they notice that you are missing."

I nodded and followed her to the car. She took the driver's seat and started the car.

"Where is Soto?"

"I sent him away; I don't think you would want him around snitching on your plans, speaking on plans; what is the plan?"

"I don't have one now, but I know that I have to be far away from that controlling asshole. You should see the way he was yelling at me like I was a slave or his help."

Kelly hissed, then smiled: "Is there any chance that he is as handsome as that bodyguard we saw?"

I face-palmed myself and said, Seriously, that is a question?"

She shrugged, saying, "Well, I am just trying to lighten the mood; the bad energy hovering around is so bad."

I just pretended that I didn't hear what she was saying, "Have an idea. What is the first place he would look for me, and how did he know it was me today and not yesterday?"

"I don't know; tell me already."

"I think he will first look for us at home; it also seems like I forgot to mask my scent. All this mess is Stephen's fault after he made me mad with his stupid phone call. I forgot to mask my scent."

"Or maybe it's fate doing its magic; you guys met yesterday, and then boom, you find that you guys are fated for each other."

I just hissed then continued planning: "We make a quick stop at home, get a few things, ditch this car for a taxi, then lodge into a popular hotel because a remote one will give him the chance to come for us without revealing too much to humans."

"Okay, but where do we go from there?"

"I don't know; we will message a few people from the hotel and know the best place to go from there. Before I forget, turn off your phone in case they track us."

Yes, ma, all those crime movies finally paid off."

When we got home, I slowly tiptoed into my room, armed with an iron rod, to make sure that there was no one waiting for me there. After that, we hurriedly packed a few things and then entered a taxi to the Elite Hotel. It was one of the biggest and most famous hotels in New York City. When we were checking in, I felt like someone was watching me, but I ruled it out as me being paranoid. I also used my enhanced hearing to overhear the name Reagan from a security guard, but I wasn't close enough to the guard to know what he was thinking. But I looked around to make sure there was no one following me.

"I think I overheard him talking about Reagan just now," I whispered to Kelly.

"Come on, it could be another person; even if it were him, let's make sure we are in our room before he comes."

The security guard showed us to our room. We hurriedly stepped in and locked the door.

We ordered a new phone and had it delivered to the hotel, though it cost a little bit.

I called a few of my friends in Europe until I finally got a place to stay. All I needed to do was get to the airport safely. Then, viola, I could safely run away from all this drama.

After many hours of being holed up in our room, Kelly decided to stretch her legs and look around.

After a few hours, My phone woke me up. I picked it up from the nightstand to answer, but the call ended immediately. A picture of Kelly sitting on a chair, tear-stained, popped up on my phone with a message.

You know who it is; get all your bags. There's a car waiting for you. I am expecting you in a few minutes. Don't forget, I am watching.

                                Reagan.
