CHAPTER 5

Third Person POV

Past 8 in the evening and Sheena decided to check on Kiera if she was feeling any better.

She went upstairs and confusion was written on her face when there was no sign of Kiera in the room.

"Kiera? " she called out loud, as she tried to look for her niece in the bathroom, but still there was no sign of her.

Sheena hurriedly got her phone to call Kiera but she heard the ringtone near her, which meant she left her phone. So she decided to call another number.

"Hello, What do you need? " The man asks on the other line.

"Kiera is missing. " Sheena answered with a worried voice.

"I'm not in Hallow City at the moment, don't worry I'll send Lucas to look for her. " The man on the other line answered.

"I am on a very important mission I have to go "the man added then ended the call.

After the call ended she went downstairs and took one of the books from her shelf.

She chanted, and then some letters floated in the air in front of her.

"SCOTT RESIDENCE" she mumbles as she read what the letters formed.

Why will she end up there? Is it too far from here right? She asked herself, but she didn't want to waste more time so she immediately grabbed her car keys to go to Scott Residence, one of the 12 guardians of the city.

Meanwhile on the other side of the City.

Lucas the beta of the of Hallow City is casually resting in his home and lying on his couch when he heard the voice of the alpha in his head.

"Lucas, I need you to do something. Look for the girl. Sheena just reported her missing just a few seconds ago. " The Alpha commanded.

He stood up right away when he heard the Alpha.

"Understood Alpha, Are you still outside the City? " He answered in his mind.

"Yeah, I am. I will try to wrap up things here to come back sooner and take care of things there while I'm away. I know I can count on you. "

Alpha replied then the connection ended.

Lucas instantly went outside to do what the alpha commanded. He used the enhanced power of his sense of smell to locate the girl.

If you are wondering how can they talk in their minds, the beta and the Alpha of the tribe are the only two people who can do that. There was a ceremony of combining their drop of blood before they became the Alpha and the Beta. It will form a strong connection that can result in the power of communication through the mind.

KIERA'S Point of View

I do not know how many minutes or hours passed when I finally woke up. It looks familiar.

How many times I will pass out today, seriously?

My head is throbbing with pain but I know it's not because of my sickness. I remember everything clearly, someone hit me with something hard in my head.

What a bad day today and it is not even Friday the 13th yet.

I tried to scan my surroundings when I finally heard some noises near me.

My hands were tied in a chair and my feet too. I have a handkerchief tied in my mouth maybe to prevent me from screaming.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. " a girl popped in front of me. She looks a little familiar.

"You will pay for what you did to me earlier" she added then pulled the handkerchief that was tied around my mouth harsly.

Some fiber from the handkerchief is stuck in my mouth so I spat on the ground near the girl.

"How dare you! " she shrieked then slapped me in my face.

Wow, it stings a little. I also taste some blood on my lips after that slap. w

Wait for me to get away from this rope then I will give you what you want.

"What do you want? " I asked coldly staring directly into her eyes.

She looked scared for a moment but maybe she remembered that I was tied so she was safe, for now I guess.

" Don't you remember me? This beautiful face? The one you spilled your disgusting coffee? "

she replied with exaggerating every sentence.

Her voice is so annoying i, It sounds like an adult who's trying hard to sound like a baby.

"Oh, sorry you looked so ordinary and common to be remembered. "

I answered with a smirk. I already remembered her , but I want to annoy her more. This b*tch I will teach her a lesson.

"You are really getting on my nerves! " she shouted then she was ready to slap me again but I caught her hand.

I already freed myself from the rope. Escaping this kind of thing is so basic and a piece of cake. I have been trained in this situation since I was young. They chose the wrong target.

"Sorry, no one can slap me twice. One is enough! " I said then slapped her so hard. She fell on the floor because of the force.

I tried to stretch when I stood up to get ready for action. I also remove my necklace the form it into a dagger.

There were three guys here. The guys are the ones whom I saw earlier and I am guessing the one who is not familiar is the one who hit me in the head.

I feel so much better now so I'm in a mood for some action. I already feel sorry for this guys ,but you need to be punished for disturbing my peaceful night.

I was ready to attack them when some speedy human or creature like flash showed in from of me.

"Are you alright Kiera? " He asked , he sound familiar do I know him? How did he know my name?

He is facing the guys ,so his back is facing me. Muscular back and toned biceps is all I can see. I don't know who he is but I think he is here to save me .Even though I don't need a knight in shining armor .

"Yes , I'm fine I can take care of myself .You can just sit there watched me beat then up" I answered seriously.

I heard him chuckled and he turned to faced me.

"Okay , let me watch how good are you at fighting . " he said with a smile.

Oh I see that's why he sounds familiar.

That face I remember him.
