Lucas's POV

I think should go to the border first.

As I approached the border of Hallow City, I nodded to the guards stationed there, acknowledging their presence.

"Good day Beta Lucas," one of the guards greeted me with a respectful nod.

"What's up, Jaro? How's everything been lately?" I asked, scanning the perimeter for any unusual activity.

"Quiet so far, sir. No signs of trouble," Jaro replied, his tone alert but calm.

"Good to hear that. The Alpha's away on urgent business, so we need to stay extra vigilant and don't let your guard down anytime." I explained, emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining security.

The other guard, chimed in, "We'll keep a close watch, Beta Lucas. You can count on us."

"I know I can. I trust you both," I said, offering a reassuring smile. "If anything comes up, don't hesitate to alert me immediately."
