Lucas's POV

As I stared at Adam, disbelief and betrayal surged through me. How could he, a trusted pack member, turn against us? The pain from the stab wound intensified, but I refused to let it show.

I need to remain strong physically and mentally to protect Hallow City.

"You traitor," I growled, my voice filled with anger and disappointment. "Why?

"How can you do this in your homeland," I asked him with disbelief.

Adam's smirk widened as he stepped closer, holding the knife in his hand. "It's nothing personal, Lucas. Just business."

His words sent a chill down my spine. "Business? What are you talking about?"

Adam chuckled darkly. "You'll find out soon enough. Oops, I am not too sure about that, because it's time to say goodbye to your precious city."

With that ominous warning, Adam lunged forward, aiming to strike again. With a deep sigh, I gain my strength, my wounds are slowly healed while he was talking nonstop earlier.
