LOGINC6: Are You A Lycan
She saw they were two different colors. She subconsciously shivered at the raw power and energy the figure emitted. The figure touched her cheeks softly. “Mine…” it purred hoarsely, and Raine felt a rush run down her spine, her cheeks heating up effortlessly at the mere sensation from its hand. She woke up with furrowed brows. She didn't know who that figure was or why it had been haunting her dreams for almost a year. Eventually, after much effort to shut down her thoughts and ignore the burning sensation on her back, she drifted back to sleep. Raine suddenly jolted up as she felt her body drenched in water. Her eyes struggled to adjust to the bright light coming from the door. She saw Alice and a maid standing there, Alice had a smug look on her face. Her face contorted into a frown mixed with pain as she winced from the rough movement she had made earlier. “Why… are you here?” she asked, her voice cracking from lack of water, and she was still sleepy. “You're still in the mood to sleep, dear sister. You really do belong to the lowest rank,” Alice remarked as she stepped fully inside. Squatting a few inches away from Raine, she crunched her nose. “Disgusting. Anyway, I pleaded with mother to let you out so you can have your wounds treated. Isn't that nice of me?” she asked with a proud grin. “Go and wash up. I wonder if the wines here aren't soiled by you,” she mused before leaving. Raine pouted her lips, a fresh badge of tears ready to spill, but she held them back. With great effort, she lifted herself up. The maid earlier was reluctant to help her. Walking back to her room with difficulty, she saw that her bath was ready. She heaved in relief as she removed her clothes and stepped into the lukewarm water. She clenched her fists as she sank deeper into it. After a long and painful bath, she dragged herself back into the room and managed to put on a simple dress. The door burst open, and she instinctively flung her head to the side. Luna Indira took graceful strides into the room, her red hair packed upwards with a few strands of baby hair falling on the sides of her face. She scanned her daughter with indifference before settling on one of the chairs, crossing her legs. “Good morning, mother,” Raine greeted, carefully parting her pale, broken lips. “Don't think you are free to whore around. You are still grounded,” Luna Indira said, ignoring her greeting as she eyed the dress and the small bag in her hand. Luna Indira pursed her lips as her eyes lingered on the bag Raine carried. She had sewn it for her beloved baby twenty years ago. She had given it to her at the age of five, still hoping the absence of the fiery glint was not permanent. But her hope slowly diminished, replaced with anger and hatred. Raine bit her lips, fighting the urge to defend herself. She couldn't afford to lose the chance of seeing Raphael. “The pack’s assistant physician will come and check your wounds. And don't think I want to do all these things. Thank your sister,” Luna Indira spoke coldly before leaving the room. Raine simply nodded. She knew it was too good to be real. Even though a tiny part of her desperately wished the Moon Goddess had started softening her heart miraculously. Training Ground… Alice arrived in a carriage. She stepped down with a beautiful smile adorning her face, her father by her side. They walked into the training ground and entered the strategy room. They invited his Beta, who joined them shortly after. “Good morning, Alpha,” Beta Mascot said with a bow before sitting on a chair. Alice greeted him with a smile. “Mascot, you have been a wonderful tutor to my dear daughter, but you have many warriors to train. That is why I want to hand her over to Raphael,” Alpha Elmore said calmly. Beta Mascot looked confused for a moment. He knew very well that Raphael was an elite warrior, and if he were to tutor anyone, it would be other warriors. He glanced at Alice, who looked elated to hear her father's wish, and sighed. If that was what she wanted, then he had no say. Besides, the young lady was a big headache to him. “If you say so, Alpha. And if you need any help, do not hesitate to seek me out,” he told Alice. She sneered inwardly but still nodded with a sweet smile. Alpha Elmore spoke with Raphael, who seemed reluctant to agree to the arrangement but could not disobey his Alpha. They began their training after Alpha Elmore left the training ground. Alice stood before him with a dazed look before snapping out of it when she realized he had been speaking to her. “Go and pick a weapon of your choice,” he ordered. Alice obeyed, striding to the side of the training field. She took a sword, recalling their first encounter. “I pick this,” she said meekly, her voice soft. Raphael simply nodded. “Do you know why we use weapons instead of our claws?” he asked as he picked up his own sword. “Yes, because they are beautiful and sharp,” she answered mindlessly as she watched his muscles flex. “Wrong. They are sharp, yes. But we mainly use them to avoid vulnerability when we turn,” he spoke calmly. Alice sneered. “It's annoying that we can't shift halfway,” she said, striking the air. Raphael shook his head. “Those are for the Lycans,” he stated as he struck the wooden figure. Alice froze and turned to him. “But you can do that. Some of the warriors witnessed it when you shape-shifted halfway,” she said curiously, yet confused. She had heard it from the warriors who were eager to get closer to her. Raphael frowned for a moment, as if the topic was something he didn't want to discuss. “Is it true or false?” she pressed on. Raphael practically rolled his eyes in his head. “Yes, I can,” he stated, swinging again, this time with extra force, though not too much. Alice flinched. “That… that means you are a Lycan?” she asked carefully. Raphael turned to her with an intense stare that made her want to crawl away instantly. The soft warrior she had seen with Raine had disappeared, replaced by a frightening male. “What do you think?” he asked calmly. Alice felt her heart drum loudly. His gaze was too intense.C28: The VitaliRaine walked quickly through the hallway, her steps uneven. The itching had reduced, but something still felt off. Her fingers hovered near her neck, resisting the urge to touch it again.Raine turned a corner and suddenly stopped as she glared at the figure, Raphael stood in front of her.Her expression changed immediately.“What are you doing here?” she asked.Raphael stepped closer. “I have been looking for you,” he said. “Why did you leave the hall like that?” He had noticed her leaving abruptly earlier.“That is none of your concern,” Raine replied. Raphael frowned at her cold tone.“It is my concern,” he said. “You did not look well.”“I said I am fine.” Raine said, trying her best to control her emotions. She tried to walk past him, but he grabbed her arm.“Raine, listen to me”. Raine froze instantly, his touch felt odd.“Let go,” she muttered.“Not until you talk to me.” Raine turned to face him fully.“There is nothing to talk about,” she said firmly. “You ma
C27: The Ball NightMrs Ray glanced at her once she arrived and she was sure her gaze softened once she met her.“How are you feeling today?” she asked as she stood before them.“I'm better, thank you for asking Mrs Ray”.Mrs Ray nodded and focused on all of them, “I know I've given you all the necessary instructions for now, but I have another information…” she paused her eyes scanning the females.“The Lycan King is hosting a yearly ball tomorrow. All Lycans are allowed to attend with their mates and families,..... Also His Majesty made an exception for you all like he does every decade. You are also expected to attend the ball in a red dress which will be delivered to you” Mrs Ray spoke calmly. The girls nodded half excited, at least there was a gathering right, in a mundane palace with strict rules restricting them till whatever their fate would be.As the day went by, Raine received a red dress from a maid, she furrowed her brows in confusion, “Are you sure this is for me, I did
C26: The Mark That LingersThey left the tea hall shortly after.Lilith walked ahead while Raine followed beside her. Liya trailed quietly behind them, holding Raine’s things. The palace halls were long and quiet, with guards stationed at intervals. Raine’s eyes moved around as they walked, taking in the structure, marveled at the interior beauty. After a short distance, they heard footsteps approaching, Raine looked up.It was Prince Kaizen. He slowed down as he got to them, his blue eyes moving from Lilith to Raine.“Lilith,” he called.Lilith smiled slightly. “Kaizen.” His name rolled off sweetly from her tongue.Kaizen’s gaze shifted to Raine again.“Where are you both heading to?” he asked.Lilith answered calmly, “We are going to see the Royal Physician. She has a rash that needs to be checked.”Kaizen’s brows lifted slightly.“A rash?” he repeated as he searched for it with his eyes, his gaze settled on Raine’s neck.Raine felt slightly uncomfortable under his stare. He steppe
C25: Itching SpotLiya nodded forward, her head bowed deeply.Raine turned around and saw him.Her breath caught slightly. His face up close, was far more dangerously handsome than afar. For a second, she forgot herself and simply stared. Her lips parted but no words left them, Lucian stared at her sternly. Then she noticed the look on his face. It was not warm. It was distant and displeased.Raine lowered her head quickly.“Greetings to you, Grand Prince,” she said with a slight bow.Lucian’s gaze rested on her for a brief moment. His eyes narrowed slightly before he gave a low hum in response.Raine felt her heart skip, but she said nothing more. His aura was strong that Liya was trembling slightly, her head still lowered. But Raine was not afraid, she felt something else.Excitement.She did not understand it, Lucian walked past them without another word.Raine turned slightly and watched him for a moment before finally walking back to her quarters.A servant knocked at the door and
C24: First Day At The Lycan PalaceRaine slept soundly that night. The next morning, she woke up to a slight shake. She frowned and rubbed her eyes before turning to the side.It was Liya.“Why are you here?” Raine asked softly, her voice still heavy with sleep. Then she paused, the memory returned quickly. They were no longer in the Silver Pack. They were in the Lycan Kingdom and Liya had been assigned to her.Raine sighed softly and sat up. “I forgot,” she added quietly.Liya lowered her head slightly. “My lady, it is time to get ready,” she said.Raine nodded and got out of bed.She went to bathe, letting the cool water wake her fully. After she was done, she dressed in a simple but neat red dress that complemented her hair. She pinned part of her hair and let the rest flow freely behind her. When she stepped out, Liya gave a small approving nod “my lady you look beautiful” she said with a warm smile which Raine returned.“Let’s go,” Raine said. They walked out together and headed
C23: His Eyes The doors of the courtroom opened once again.A heavy presence filled the room before the figure even stepped in.He walked in with slow, steady steps, his aura overwhelming and domineering. The air itself seemed to shift around him, making it hard to breathe.Raine felt his presence immediately, her fingers twitched slightly as a strange instinct pushed her to lower her head and bare her neck in submission. She clenched her hands tightly, forcing herself to remain still, she turned slightly and noticed the girls were frightened and bowed deeply, none wanted to bare their neck or they were fighting the urge just like she was.Her eyes lifted slightly instinctively. From the side view alone, she could see his sharp, masculine features. His long hair flowed behind him, reaching his lower back. It was black, but strands of blue caught the light with each effortless stride he took.Raine swallowed hard, Then he turned after greeting the lycan king. Her breath hitched as hi
C13: Life changing Decision Inner training ground Raphael stood in the middle of the field coaching other younger warriors as they practiced. His vision blurred for a second, this was the tenth time his wolf was trying to take control. The need to mark his mate was becoming too much, hot sweat
C12: The Forbidden Ritual Raine furrowed her brows as she sat up instantly. “Where did this come from?” she whispered in confusion as she looked closely at the black petal in her palm. The petal vanished from her hand. Unknown to her, a mark had appeared on her body. Raine took her bath and step
C21: Leaving It All BehindAlpha Elmore stepped into the room, his gaze sharp as it moved between the two girls.Luna Indira followed behind him. They had intended to meet Raine before she would leave for the palace only to meet this scene.“What is going on here?” he asked again, his tone firm.Al
C19: The Selection IIRaine returned to her room quietly, she walked past Raphael’s room and slowly looked away, her mood heavy. As an heir to the Alpha it was mandatory to live in the alpha's mansion.Closing the door behind her, she leaned against it for a moment, her eyes fixed on nothing in par
