Chapter 4

C4:Wine Cellar

In the Alpha's Mansion, Alice stood outside dressed in a white shirt and black trouser, and a pair of black boots,

Her black hair tied in a bun.

Finally Raine came out wearing a green dress, carrying her small bag with her.

“This is my first time training and you are here delaying me” Alice whined as she glared at her.

“I'm sorry, let's go,” Raine said, getting into the carriage.

Soon they arrived at the training ground, the warriors waved and smiled at Alice while some looked at her with acorn.

“Hi, my name is Maya, it's nice to see you” a blonde girl said walking up to them, Raine simply smiled unsure if she was speaking to her.

“I'm not referring to you” Maya scoffed, “i will be your guide today, come let me show you around” she continued taking Alice with her while Raine was left alone.

She sighed and strolled on her own, she wondered if she would see Raphael if she went to the inner ground.

On getting there she saw him, he was training in the sunlight with a sword, his moves rough and strong.

“Raph..” she called out waving her hand, making the young man stop in his tracks, turning to her, instantly a smile bloomed in his face.

He dropped the sword and walked to her, Raine watched him breathlessly, his dimples showing once more and the sun rays didn't help her either.

Raphael noticed the way she was staring at him and chuckled, “how have you been dear” he asked sweetly as he stopped before her.

“Been good, and you, how is your injury?” She asked, her eyes moving to his stomach.

“I'm fine, my wounds are completely healed besides I have high abilities” he pointed out, flicking her nose slightly.

Raine giggled, “but it was still serious, for you to be injured that way they must have been rogues or an Alpha” she added in a serious tone.

“True, but I'm completely fine now so don't worry your pretty head” he said softly, Raine nodded and blocked her face from the sunlight.

Raphael noticed it and took her smaller hands into his, guiding her to a shaded corner.

She smiled softly as she stared at their intertwined hands.

They chatted for a while, Raine watched him train till it was time for Alice to go, she hurried and went to meet her in the general training ground.

Few weeks later…

Alice, who had started being suspicious of her, for weeks now would notice Raine going to the inner training ground.

She told her mother about it, who called Raine to the sitting room.

“You were instructed to accompany your sister to the training ground so where did you disappear to all these while she trained” Luna Indira asked, her eyes narrowed, the whip in her hand.

“I..I went to meet a friend, I didn't leave the training ground” she answered quickly, her eyes darting to the whip.

“Mother, ask her who that friend is, I met her with a warrior in a compromising position the day we went to the training ground to pick my tutor, last time it was at the forest now the training ground.

She is slowly ruining our reputation” Alice chipped in her face subtle but the fire in her eyes said otherwise.

Luna Indira gritted her teeth, “so you've decided to bring shame to us, by sleeping around with different men?” She asked furiously.

Raine shook her head, but the woman wasn't having it.

“Kneel” she barked, releasing her aura, Alice wavered even though it wasn't directed to her.

Raine fell to the ground, her ears flaring up, it was as if thousands of needles were pierced into her body.

Luna Indira raised her whip, landing it on her back, each whip lashing heavier than the other after what felt like forever she stopped and dropped the whip on the floor.

Alice smirked behind the Luna, while Raine curled into a ball, her eyes dazed, the back of her dress torn with blood trickling down.

They left the room disgusted at the sight of her, not before ordering the guards to lock her up in the wine cellar.

Raine fell with a loud thud in the dark room, surrounded by wine jars, she slowly brought her knees to her chest hugging it tightly as tears fell freely, till she slept off.

Two days passed with no sight of Raine, Raphael became worried, his wolf would tell him not to worry too much but he couldn't bear it.

The training became boring each move and weapon felt like a burden, he had missed that cheerful face, the one that would compliment him and smile.

He didn't know if it was for his earlier confession, he slashed through the air.

“Damn it, if I had known I wouldn't have told her how I feel” he cursed beneath his breath.

Frustrated he swung his arm to the side only for it to stop a few centimeters away from someone's neck, he froze and turned to Alice.

“What are you doing here?” He asked coldly, disappointed to see her.

Alice stared at him in a daze, her mind clouded as she smiled brightly.

She had come earlier to taunt the warrior but she didn't know it was him, she had only seen him the first time she came to silver Pack but didn't have the time to speak with him.

He was more handsome, muscular and everything she wanted, her eyes twinkled as many fairytales ran in her head.

Raphael raised a brow, this time he placed the sharp cold metal beside her throat, the coldness bringing her back to reality.

She coughed slightly, “umm .. I'm here to search for..” she looked around nervously then her eyes lit up “Maya I mean my tutor” she stuttered her brown eyes blinking rapidly.

“You mean Beta Mascot?” He asked the blade still in its position but held with less force.

Alice nods her head instantly, “yes, he is my tutor…did you see him” she asked looking around again.

“No..he wouldn't be here, besides training period is over” he pointed out, the sword now dropped beside him.

Staring at her for a while he recognized her, she was the one Raine said was her sister.

“Are you Raine's sister?” He asked.

Alice crunched her face but smoothened it, “yes she is my sister”she replied playing with her brown braids, she didn't like talking about Raine, but she didn't mind if it meant him speaking with her.

“She didn't come to the training ground today, what happened?” He asked, he wasn't clueless of how everyone disliked her, including her parents.

And seeing her sister's face darken means her disappearance might not be because of him.
