LOGINJack held Gwen down as he moved to place his lips on hers when someone suddenly kicked him away from her. Gwen scrambled to the side as she covered herself with the pieces of her clothing and she looked up to see the leader staring down at her with a cold expression.
“What did I tell you about harassing these ladies? What will you do if she gets rejected on the day of the auction? You better get your shit together, Jack. Don't force me to do something stupid to you.” He said calmly as he glared at Jack and Jack stood up before dusting the dirt off his shirt.
“Yes, boss.” He said coldly before walking out of the room and the leader stared at Gwen again for a while, causing her to shrink into herself more.
“Follow me.” He said calmly and she managed to stand up, shame and despair washing over her as she walked behind him with barely anything on. She turned to look at the girl who had tried to attack her earlier to see that she was scowling at her.
Gwen quietly followed after the leader and he ushered her into a dimly lit room. She was confused about what he wanted from her and she thought he was going to try to violate her instead.
However, he simply took out a dress from the wardrobe and threw it to her, causing her to look up at him in surprise.
“Wear that and… stay here instead. You're more valuable than the others and what happened tonight will happen again if you stay with them.” He said and she immediately draped the dress over her body, grateful for the fact that she was covered up again.
“Please, you need to let me go… I know you're The Typhoon, the ones my sister took a loan from but I promise I'll pay it back for her. I'll do anything just let me go. She has no one left and I don't know how she'll be coping without me right now…” Gwen pleaded as she got on her knees and the man simply stared down at her with a blank expression.
“You don't need to pay anything back. She already paid it back by giving you to us. If I were you, I would worry more about myself than the sister who gave you away. Why do you think we took you and not your sister?” He replied coldly as he turned around to walk away and Gwen felt like she had been kicked harshly in the gut.
She couldn't believe him. It made no sense that her sister would try to sell her away to pay off the debts.
“I don't believe you. That's impossible! My sister would never-”
“Believe what you want. But your sister is the only reason we have you in our custody. I won't let anyone hurt you until you're sold away, don't worry.” He said without turning back to her and walked out of the room as he locked it shut behind him. He couldn't help but feel bad for her.
Gwen remained on the ground as she stared at the door in shock. Freya had sold her out for a thousand dollars. She didn't want to believe it but she knew that man was right. Why was she the only one caught and not Freya?
She crumbled to the ground as she sobbed in agony, the pain of being betrayed tearing through her heart like a blade. She cried until she could no longer and passed out on the cold ground.
***********
Two weeks passed by, and Gwen had given up all hopes of escaping. She had no one to return to anyway. She was wolfless, mateless, betrayed, and left all alone. She had no strength to fight for her life anymore.
She stared in front of the mirror at her now lifeless face as she tied her hair into a ponytail. It was the day of the auction and she had been ordered to look good for the event. She wore a transparent red gown with nothing underneath it.
A tear rolled down her cheek as she applied the red lipstick on her lips and then took a step back to look at herself. She looked just like a slut. How pretty.
The door was pushed open and the leader, whose name was Mark, stepped in with his usual cold expression. However, when he took in her appearance, his expression cracked a bit as he stared at her in awe.
“It's time.” He said before turning around to walk away and she walked out with him. She could hear the commotion coming from outside the hall and she walked behind Mark with her head hung low.
“...and she's gone! Congratulations to number 222 for acquiring this beauty!” The bidder said from the stage and Gwen fought the urge to throw up at the sound of girls being sold like objects.
“Get in here.” She heard Mark say, and she turned to see that he had ordered her to get into a transparent glass. She chuckled bitterly as she stepped into the talk glass and then sat down with her legs by her side.
She must be really special for her to be placed into a glass.
“Now, for the last but not the least item, I hear she's a diamond in the rough. So pretty, she might tear your heart out! Let's welcome our last beauty!” The bidder yelled and Mark wheeled the glass out with Gwen sitting inside, her head hung low in shame.
The whole room went into an uproar as she came into sight, and the bidding started before the bidder even gave an amount.
“One million dollars!”
“Two million!”
“Ten million!”
“Fifteen million dollars!” An old man yelled and everyone went silent after that. Gwen's heart broke seeing the man who had bid the highest price for her. He was old enough to be her grandfather.
“Fifteen million dollars for number 111, going… going…”
“One hundred million dollars.” Someone said from the back of the crowd and the whole room immediately went silent. Gwen stared at the one who had called that amount in shock and when he stood up with a mask on his face, she froze.
Seth let out a sigh for the millionth time that morning. Charles's suggestion had got him thinking through the night, that he barely got enough sleep. He didn't know if Charles had said that just to torture him because if he did, he definitely won. He had let go of Charles at once after he had dropped that suggestion that felt like a bomb in his head.Charles had bolted right after that but his words stuck to Seth like a leech that didn't let him sleep all night. With a groan, he pushed himself off the bed and paced around, confusion settling over him like a cloud.Gwen was locked up in his private room and no one knew about her presence, nor the fact that he had bought her off from an auction. Making her his Luna wouldn't be such a bad idea, he knew that. He had felt this odd attraction toward her since he saw her in that glass and there was something irresistible about her. Something that made Reed want to lose control. After the king's death, Seth was bound to become the leader as
The guards had thrown Gwen so hard on the ground that every bone in her body ached. She tried to go after them, struggling to move with the chains holding her back but it was useless. She could barely make it to the door before it was slammed shut and locked tightly behind her. “No please…” She pleaded, her fists connecting to the door but barely making any sound. “Let me out, please! What are you going to do to me?” She cried out, the chains rattling at every movement she made but no one responded to her. When she eventually got tired of pounding on the hard door, she slumped to the ground, burying her face in her hands. Her shoulders shook as she cried her eyes out, the reality finally slamming into her like a sledgehammer. This wasn't her normal life anymore, this was the life Freya had given her by betraying her.“Poor thing. I heard she's to be hidden from plain sight. No one could ever know she's here.” One of the guards spoke from outside and Gwen's heart tightened when she he
Seth walked into the building with a frustrated expression on his face, rubbing his temples gently. His crazy decision on buying that slave was beginning to look like a huge mistake and he suddenly began to regret showing up at that auction hall in the first place. He didn't need a slave for anything, he already had maids and guards. He could only blame his wolf for pushing him to make such hasty decisions that might backfire on him in the worst way.Charles emerged from a corner, his eyes narrowed at Seth like he had millions of questions to ask. Seth already knew what he had come for but he definitely wasn't ready to start explaining himself. He owed no one an explanation.“Don't stare at me like that, get me a drink. My head hurts.” Seth ordered as he slumped on the couch and Charles shot him a look of disbelief.“All the more reason you shouldn't drink. I would ask you to go to sleep but somehow there's a stranger locked up in your room.” Charles replied, his tone sarcastic and Se
“Resorting to violence as soon as things don't go your way, isn't that all you are?” Mark spat as he regained his stance, brushing his shirt slightly and Seth sneered in response.“You seem to forget who you're talking to. Why? You're interested in the girl? You want her for yourself? Come get her then.” Seth replied with a roll of his eyes and Mark scoffed in annoyance, shoving the cheque into his pocket as he pushed past Seth, purposely bumping against his shoulder.“You'll regret it if you treat her like shit.”“If you want her so bad, why didn't you buy her off instead?” Seth spat with a scoff and left without waiting to hear what Mark had to say. He hated how protective Mark was of her and he knew he would have punched him hard if he didn't try to control himself. She was his property now. What gave him the right to tell him what and what not to do with her?Seth walked out of the auction hall without waiting to see the investor who had invited him here. He didn't want to see th
Seth didn't want to be in that auction. He couldn't understand why men would offer to buy ladies as though they were slaves. But he had no chance but to attend. The biggest investor in his company had invited him personally and not going would definitely have consequences. All through the bidding, he had his face hung low and his face mask on so that no one could see his expression. He couldn't help but realize that humans were worse than animals. What were they trying to gain by buying and selling these poor girls? He had his AirPods plugged in as. he fixed his attention on his phone, scrolling through business news. He felt a tap on his shoulder and glanced up to see a man staring down at him with a smirk. Seth sighed lazily and slowly took out the AirPods from his ear as he turned to face Jace with a bored expression. "Is the event not to your liking?" Jace asked as he sat beside him and Seth remained quiet instead of answering him. Jace was his business rival and he wouldn't he
