“You still haven't forgotten about Assy,” Bartram said, his eyes shimmering with hurt.

“Are you going to tell me that he is only my imagination? My imaginary friend?” Luna asked. “You can say it.”

Bartram shook his head. “I wasn't going to say anything; he was your friend, but he hadn't shown up for years. It's been years, and I haven't even met him.”

Luna sighed. “Maybe he left; he might be back.”

“I know that you still want Assy to come back!”

“He was my first friend!”

"Now that you have another friend and, as well, a lover, why do you keep thinking about him? It's not like you know him or what species he is anyway.”

Luna's gaze fell. “He is my friend, and I am not going to forget him. I might not know what he is, but he made me happy back then. He never cared about who I was, and the little I knew about magic, he taught me.”

“He might not be here anymore to teach me, but to be honest, I miss him a lot.” She admitted.
