CHAPTER 41

The next morning, the sound of the birds could be heard as Luna opened her eyes. There was a warm sensation next to her, and she realized that it was Ashford.

Raising her head, she sat up; he had his hair down and his eyes closed. She blushed; he was handsome when he slept.

She brushed the strands of his hair off his forehead and leaned in to kiss it. A smile crept up her lips, and she kissed his forehead again.

She wanted to do something to him before he woke up. She got out of bed and walked to her dressing mirror. She picked up a lipstick and walked back to him.

Moments later, after she had her bath, she walked towards the dining room where her father was setting.

“Good morning, Father.”

Bartram turned around to look at her. “Morning, Wildcat. Trust your night was good.”

“It sure was; I had no idea I fell asleep like that.” She pulled out a chair and flopped her butt on it before grabbing an apple on the table.

“You slept like a log; was the training draining?” Bartram asked.
