CHAPTER 1

There are two things in this world that are considered to be more powerful than anything else and that is the power of love and well power itself.

One cant exist without the other. A person driven by love may be capable of doing anything in order to ensure that their loved ones are kept safe. And with power, well not even the most loved can resist the pull that comes with power. Anything and everything can be made possible when a person is given just a little bit of power.

And for those that were responsible for creating the world and turning it into the supernatural hotspot that we knew it was the power of those two things that they were to ensure that they got exactly what they wanted.

….

For Nora there had always been one thing that she had always been sure about in her life and that was the fact that she knew she could always count on her father. She had never known or met her mother. The only thing that she was told about her was simply the information she had read in her fathers journals.

She had been a garden fairy. It was thought to be a whimsical life one lived with the illusion of freedom and comfort that one could only find within the walls of the fairy kingdom. But when the dark had first struck. The very beast that resides within the mountains of Kampa. It was the dairy kingdon that was first to fall prey.

Her mother as a powerful warrior that she was was sent out to represent her people and seek help. And i guess when she had come across the coven of witches sisters in magic she had only held hope in the fact that they would be willing to help her out.

At first they had refused. The darkness wasn't a problem for them yet and so they would simply have to deal with it when it came to them. She had been ready to leave when she had stumbled upon Nora’s father. He was a powerful witch that was known for his skills and for some reason he wanted to help her. They had called him careless for agreeing but Nora liked to think that in that moment when he saw her he had fale unstable and it wouldn't have mattered what he would have asked her to do she would have done it instantly.

But that was then and it seemed as though their love story was forever destined to be a short one. And like a fine rose it was beautiful to the touch but its thorns would leave you with nothing but pain.

….

Nora’s breathing was deep and erratic as she moved further up the mountain face. She had to persevere. She could feel her limbs growing limp as she struggled to stay on the ledge.

She cursed herself for not being able to bring more supplies but then she remembered the strange looks that she had received from the shop keeper when she had given him her list.

She refused to be demeaned any further by such a man. She looked towards the edge of the cliff as she winced as the intensity of the sun's rays above her hit her and show couldnt help but squint her eyes tightly at the feeling of it on her skin. She hummed as she crosed her eyes before she lifted up the rest of her upper body and climbed onto the last platform.

She let out a sigh from her lips as she looked around and for a moment she couldn't help but feel as her heart beat rapidly against her chest. She wanted to assume the best of the situation but when she hadn't spotted what she was looking for initially she felt the urge to break out into a loud scream.

The sun was starting to sink down below the horizon and she felt an inert need to make it stop. She wanted it to stop under the delusion that it would make her feel better and that it might have given her a little more time to herself.

But as she watched the moon rise she knew that it was over. It was only then that she allowed the first set of tears to slide down her cheeks.

No. Its was supposed to be here.” She said in a desperate tone. Hse looked towards the moon. The goddess that badly promised to be there for her people and the people across the world and yet it had seemed as though she was never actually there for her when she needed her.

Suddenly the cloud of sadness that she had felt was easily replaced by anger. She was done praying. She needed to save her dad and she would use whatever means was necessary in order to do it.

She clutched a clp of sand in her hand as she felt as another surge of energy flowed through her. She had been told to tame her wild powers that were fueled by fire all her life but she had grown desperate. She lifted her hands in the air as she felt her eyes slip closed and a turbulent wind rose from around her. She sucked back in a deep breath before releasing it and then she proceeded to drop her hand easily after.

She watched as a loud ghost of wind rose up from around her and she was caused to stumble backwards on her feet. She managed to get back into a standing position as she was finally able to pull her eyes open. She gasped as she widened her eyes at the sight before her.

She took in the blue markings on the ground that described the dance of the wolf and the sun. It was a tale that went on for generations and it was then that she came to realize what she had to do. She couldn't miss the specs of blue that she spotted in the cracks of the ground.

She knew that it was now made very clear that she would have to follow the loves that were laid out in front of her. It was unusual for a witch to be familiar with such knowledge of the ancient world. But she had exhausted all of the resources that were made available.

She had gotten desperate and that simply meant that she had no other choice but to go and do the last thing that she had considered and that was to explore the world out of it.

She had learnt about the tale of the wolf and the sun when she had made the decision to explore the temples of the mayan wolves. It was an abandoned civilization but they seemed to have the full knowledge of the world around them.

She didn't know what she had thought she would find there but within the ruins she had found comfort and now she had realized that this was the reason that this very sight had been left untouched for many generations.

She closed her eyes in that moment as she tried to channel all of the emotions that she had tried to keep buried. The grief the fear as well as the sorrow. Because this was much more than a dance. It was baring out her heart and soul and hoping the sun would be happy.

Once she was done she felt the emotions wash over her and she slowly opens up her eyes once more she couldn't help but grin as her eyes illuminated blue reflecting the light of the orb before her.

“Finally.” She whispered.
