"Bursted!!!!"

Roy shouts from the back.

That was a sick joke. 

I pinch him so hard on the cheek for almost killing me in shock. Then I pull him in a warm, motherly hug. 

I had missed this little demon of mine.

"Time to go home!" 

I hold his hand firmly, ruffling his smooth hair. 

Roy does not make a single step. He's holding back. 

"Mom, can Mr. Lawrence come with us. I want to stay with him some more?"

I look up at Ramon and shake my head. 

"No baby..."

He frowns. "Please, mommyyyy???" 

Ramon squats to talk to him. 

"Mommy said no. You should always listen to her because she's your mother. And she knows what's best for you. Okay?" 

My son nods. 

"We will hang out and play more tomorrow, okay?" 

He nods.
