This time their eyes looked back at me with that of confusion and doubt, like I was blabbering.I removed my palms that I had placed on the top of the table and began walking up and down.“A few months ago…” I began. “I was attacked by four lycans who were out in search of me with the aim of…kidnapping me. Of course I took them down with the aid of my very good friend, Axton.”I smiled at Axton, and he returned it, not bothering to look at the others who had shifted their attention to him. I coughed to bring their attention back to me and continued.“I left their bodies in the woods where we fought because I felt like I should, but when I returned to check a few days later… they were gone.” I paused to look from one face to another. "I wasn't really bothered about that, so I moved on. And then…my space was invaded,
As usual I took my bath at the lake and got dressed in my three-piece. Then I started on the way to Ember Moon. For some reason, instead of panicking as usual, I was calm. Even though I knew that I would be the youngest amongst them, it didn't cause me to doubt my ability to command attention. Probably because the Moon Goddess encouraged me.“Aries!" I heard Axton's voice from behind me.I turned sharply to see him jogging up to me. “Axton, I didn't expect to see you here with me," I was really surprised that he was here; wasn't he supposed to be with his alpha?“Yeah, we're going together. Did you forget?" He asked as he caught up.“I probably did," I replied as we continued walking. “I thought you'd be going with Thane and Axel." “We planned that I'd be going with you," he said. “And don't forget, I'm really not a member of that pack anymore." I hummed and didn't say anything. I could feel his eyes studying me.“Are you ready for today?" He asked.“Yes, somehow I feel so confide
Axton taught me a whole different set of fighting techniques, both as a wolf and as a human. He was a fighting machine, especially in his human form, his reason being that his wolf was already a predator, but his human body wasn't, and so it needed more training since it was the most vulnerable between the two personalities. At the end of the day I was exhausted. He hadn't taken it easy on me. Barking orders and punishing me when I lagged. Instead of getting mad at it, it thrilled me and somehow made me happy. This was what my pack was supposed to help me with, but I had to do that on my own. I had to learn self-defense and attacks. And now, Axton was teaching me; it made me more determined to meet the goals he set out for me.~I sat in the cave, eating. Axton had gone back to carry out the plans we discussed. I just hope the other packs take this seriously and come for the meeting; unity is the only chance we have against the lycans. At dusk, I repeated the training techniques Axto
I've been restless, pacing up and down and making strategies in my head. But all I've ever come up with were too weak. I didn't know anything about war or fighting a full pack, much less about lycans. My head was pounding, and I felt dizzy. I suddenly remembered I hadn't had anything since yesterday. I've been so engrossed in this lycan issue that I've forgotten to eat something. But right now, I wasn't in the mood to make anything either. The grumbling of my stomach told me I needed to eat immediately, but the restlessness of my mind reminded me of how we're going to lose if I don't strategize.I first perceived his scent before he walked in. Perfect timing.“What's that glint in your eyes?" He asked, smiling. “You seem to be expecting me." “I wasn't," I lied, looking away.“I can already see that you do; might as well just admit it," he said, smirking.“What have you got there?" I asked, staring at the bags he was holding. He lifted them up, smiling. “I felt maybe you'd be hungry.
ALPHA DOMINIC'S POV The visit of the White Wolf yesterday had thrown me off balance. I mean, I knew we had lots of packs eyeing us, but lycans? They were far away from this region; why would they want anything to do with us, especially Aries? Thinking about it again, maybe she's what every pack needs. She's strong, independent, and ruthless, amongst others. The first thing they would want to use her for would be as a war weapon. With the white wolf by their side, it was triple the strength and triple the chances of victory in warfare. I had sent for my most trusted pack elders to join me in a brief meeting to discuss this issue. I wasn't going to risk doubting Aries. She hated us too much to come into the pack just to toy with us.A knock sounded on the door, and I replied with a "come in."Davis walked in and sat down on the chair opposite me, his eyes studying me intently. Davis was my best friend. We grew side by side with each other and knew each other to the bone. But right now
I stood my ground, expression unchanged, waiting for them to attempt to touch me. But that never happened, because the old man stretched his walking stick in front of them to stop. They reluctantly backed away, eyes glaring daggers at me.The old man pressed his walking stick firmly in front of him, studying me, as if finding a flaw he could use against me.“Are you sure you don't want to reconsider?" He asked, staring at me as if I was making a deadly mistake.I looked away for a bit and chuckled, shaking my head. This was an attempt to control the anger that was boiling inside me. All I wanted to do right now was beat the four of them up so bad. But I inhaled and turned back to them, returning the cold glare. I focused my eyes more on the old man, making sure we locked eyes."If your kind ever dares such..." I said, pausing for effect. "You'll have me to deal with.”"Well, I tried,” he said and stood up. "We can still do it without you anyway.”He sighed and beckoned on them to leav
