Matthew stopped applying the wet sponge on Doris' body when he heard her groan.

She was so wasted that she has not moved a muscle since he took her out of the club.

He was so disappointed and saddened by her actions, but what was hurting him the most was that he does not understand the reason behind her sudden disappearance and why she chose to spend her time in a bar, of all places.
