The Argument

While entering the house, Byron locked the door behind his back. He first made his way to the bedroom, but curiosity stung him to find out what Abigail was doing there; without moving to his room, his footsteps automatically turned to take him to the kitchen entrance, where he soon could smell a homely cooked meal aroma, almost reminding him of his past beautiful childhood days when his mother cooked meal for him and his family. 

How long has it been since he smelled something this familiar, just like his mother's meal? He deeply thought inside his mind and made his way, stopping just in the corner of the kitchen door without letting her a sense of his presence there.
