Chapter 10

It’s Sarah’s second day at work, and her number one goal of the day was to do everything she could to avoid Dan.

She couldn’t get a good night’s sleep; she kept on thinking about how to approach Dan and finally apologize, especially now that he’s her boss and he can decide to fire her.

The thought of getting fired alone got her scared. She needed the job, and kneeling before Dan to ask for forgiveness was nothing.

She truly regretted all she did in the past. Although she barely remembered what happened, She got into an accident on graduation day in high school that made her lose part of her memory.

According to the doctor, it’s her subconscious mind that’s trying to hide something as a defense against something.

She didn’t really understand all the medical jargon he said back then. For her mind to do such a thing, she figured a part of her hated what she did and wanted a new life.

And she was going to get forgiveness at all costs, but till then, he was going to stay clear of Dan.
