Chapter 9

“Did you fire that stripper like I asked?” Dan asked while walking to the elevator at Tinder’s Corp. and his secretary, Michael, who also happened to be his cousin.

“Yes, I did.” Michael affirmed. They got to the elevator.

“What is taking the background search so long?” Dan’s frustration was evident. The suspense and curiosity kept him wondering and impatient.

He wanted to know everything about her and how he could use the information to his advantage.

“Sarah Thompson’s information is rather hard to get; she’s been off social media and…” Michael lied.

“You didn’t do anything about it, did you?” Dan interrupted; he caught on to Michael’s lie.

He knew his cousin was often unreliable when it came to office tasks, but his mother had insisted he give him a chance at Tinder’s Corp.

“Don’t worry, I will find her myself.” The elevator door began to close when he caught a glimpse of someone who resembled Sarah through the narrow opening left for the elevator to close.
