Chapter 3: Annoying Act...

Susan was seated in her office, and she was going through some documents on her table. The office was built with fresh air and health as a priority.

As such, air from the outside arrived in floor vents and left through the ceiling directly above.

Susan had the appearance of soul fire sparking against the ice, and there's a tale of anger on her face. Her look tells of pain, as much as any who wears their heart on their sleeve.

When she was about to lean back on the chair she's seated in, someone knocked on her door, unexpectedly.

"Come in!" Her voice sounds harsh.

A young man who is about 5ft tall, with fair, and delicate skin walks into the office. Though he has the look of an honest soul on his face, there was still hardness to his appearance, a kind of frigid, joined to confidence.

"Oh, it's you, Anthony!" Susan sat properly, immediately he enters.

"I'm here to report some findings to you, ma'am..." Anthony said, with a deep, hoarse voice while still standing.

"What is it?" Susan sounds more relaxed after she heard him, and made a hand gesture so he can sit opposite her.

"I've found them!" Anthony placed a big, brown envelope on Susan's table, and pushed it over to her front.

"Really?"

Susan picked up the envelope with a surprised look. She opened it and brought out few pictures with an address, attached to them.

"Are you sure this is the valid address? And not like the one you brought to me then?" She asked with a raised brow.

"It's certain ma'am! I did a thorough background check on that address, and it appears that they're staying there." Anthony sounds with certainty.

"That's good!" Susan returns everything to the envelope and placed it inside her drawer.

"What's next?" Anthony suddenly asks.

"Wait for my call, before carrying out any task! And make sure, you keep a close eye on them." She ordered.

"Alright, ma'am! Concerning the academy you asked me to find out, I've gotten the full information about it."

At the mention of the Academy, Susan's facial expression changed instantly to a nonchalant one. But she seems impressed with Anthony, doing his job perfectly well.

"You're impressing me nowadays, I like it! So, what's the latest about it?"

"Well ma'am, Jaden can enroll into the Academy once he's 15! From my findings, he seems to have met all the required criteria except for---"

Anthony hasn't finished his sentence before Susan cuts in. "He can't transform, or use his power yet, right?" She asked with all seriousness.

"Yes ma'am... And that would make him have a hard time at the Academy because of other young vampires, who could transform. They will bully him for sure!" Anthony replied, truthfully.

"I care less if he does have a hard time at the Academy! There are children of his age who can't transform like him yet over there, so it doesn't matter! Just make sure everything is set before, or on his fifteenth birthday, okay?"

Anthony that wanted to say something else concerning Jaden quickly shut his mouth and only nodded to her instructions.

"That's all, you can go!"

Susan waved her hand at him with much arrogance, so he can leave. Immediately she said the last words, Anthony stood up and leaves.

After he left, Susan opens the drawer and brings out the envelope. She took out the pictures and placed them on her table.

"This is the beginning of your hell! I will make sure you crave for death!" She said as she stares at a particular picture...

******************

As soon as Williams ran to the living room, to check on Jaden who screamed, he was shocked by what he saw.

He saw Jaden lying down on the couch, and was laughing so hard. It appears nothing happened to him at all.

"Jaden!!" Williams screamed out too.

"Yes Dad, I just pranked you!" Jaden stood up, and ran to the back of the couch, and started laughing.

"Do you know you got me scared right? I almost fell at the stairs!" Williams placed both hands on his waist in amazement and glared at him.

"I knew you would come running to me if I screamed, and it works! This is for pulling my legs earlier on..." Jaden continues to laugh.

"Next time I won't!!" Williams stamped his feet on the floor so hard and turned, to behave as if he is about to leave in annoyance.

When he was about to leave, Jaden moved swiftly to his side and hugged him from behind.

"Common Dad, you know I was only joking... I promised never to do such a thing again." He pleaded, and rest his head on his back.

Williams turned over to him and pinched his face, jokingly. "I'm not angry either!" Williams said and burst into laughter also.

"You know I can never get angry with you, no matter what you do." Williams hugged him so tight.

"Thanks for always been there for me dad, l love you so much!" Jaden holds him tight with tearful eyes.

They were still hugging each other when Susan suddenly steps in... As she enters, she cleared her throat and put on a frown.

When Williams saw Susan, he drew Jaden out of his embrace and wiped his tears. "Go to your room dear, I will meet you shortly..." Williams told him.

"No, stay!" Susan ordered. Both Williams and Jaden were surprised when they heard her speak.

Jaden couldn't describe how he felt at that moment, because this is the first time his mother had ever spoken to him ever since he knew her. Williams was also shocked too by what she just uttered.

"Alright mom," Jaden sounds happy as he moves closer to her.

"Stop right there! Don't come closer!" Susan gave him an unwelcome gaze as he approaches her.

Williams and Jaden's eyes met, immediately she spoke.

'I knew it! Why was I happy at first?' Jaden thought to himself and stopped in his tracks.

"There's something you need to know about your real father!" Susan said with a nonchalant attitude.

At the mention of, "Your real father" Jaden suddenly stared at Williams, with a confused expression.

"What the hell do you think you are doing Susan?" Williams yelled out and stopped her from saying anything further.

"I think he's old enough to know the truth about his real identity!" Susan replies.

"Without consulting me first?" Williams became furious as he glares at his wife, with an unpleasant look.

Jaden stood where he was, and continue staring at his parents in awe. He couldn't comprehend what exactly is going on with them. This is the first time he is seeing his dad, getting so angry at his mom.

'What's going on? Why is mom, and dad arguing?' Jaden mumbled inwardly, with a disturbed countenance.

"Listen to me Susan, we need to talk about this right away!" Williams said, and turned to Jaden, "I will be back son!" He drew her away by the wrist and heads to their room.

Jaden gently sat down on the couch after they left, and wait patiently for his dad to come out...

--------------

"What the heck is wrong with you Susan? Tell me!" Williams asked with much anger.

"It is getting too long than I expected! Didn't you ask me to give you some time, so you can tell him the truth yourself? But you never did!!" Susan yelled out.

"I never did, because I don't want him to be broken if he learns the truth now! Don't you get it!!" Williams's anger continues to rise as he speaks.

"He's not your child Williams! So, You don't have to care about his feelings!"

"Wow! It has gotten to that right, Susan? So, you could look me straight into the eyes, and tell me, he is not my child, isn't it?" Williams seems devastated about what she just said.

When Susan saw how heartbroken Williams is after what she said, she remains silent, and never answers his question.

"I just want him to know the truth that's all!" Susan said in a low tone.

"Then give me more time! I promised to tell him sooner than you expected." Williams pleaded.

"It's okay, I will hold on to your promise... There's something else you need to know also." Susan said.

"What is it again?" Williams asks.

"Jaden would be going to WAVA a day after his birthday."

"What! Is that not Werewolves and Vampires Academy?" Williams was stunned.

"Yes, it is..." She replies.

"Susan, why do you wish to kill Jaden at this tender age? That Academy is more of a death den than what is portrayed outside!! Don't you care about what will happen to your son over there?"

"This is the right decision for him, and you are fully aware of that Williams."

"But he hasn't shown any form of power yet. What if, he's just a mortal being like me?" Williams asked.

"You and I know that's impossible! It's either he possesses the power of a vampire or werewolf."

"And what if he doesn't possess any of the powers? Are you ready to take the chance of endangering his life?" Williams gave her a stern look.

"That's quite impossible! I already made up my mind Williams, he's going to the Academy right after his birthday..."

Susan said with a serious look and walked out of his presence to the bathroom. Williams let out a deep sigh as he adjusted himself very well, and steps out of the room.

As soon as he got out, he was shocked to see Jaden, standing, at the entrance of their room with a sad face...
