Vampire Club

Evelyn.

I walked into history class with my handbag hung on my shoulder. I smiled as I saw Jessie, my best friend, and waved at her, going to sit next to her.

I dropped my bag on my desk and looked at Mr. Millie's desk at the front of the class. I was late and he wasn't even in class yet.

"Mr. Millie isn't in class yet," I said and Jessie nodded.

"He should show up soon."

I opened my bag to take out my history textbook and I looked up as I saw the new guy, Fred walk into the class. We ran into each other at the cafeteria yesterday and we both had mutual hated for most of the available foods. He was also nice and cute.

He glanced across the classroom before going to sit on the empty seat next to me. He smiled at me and I smiled back at him. I looked up again and saw that Ashton also walked into the class. He saw the both of us and I could see the jealousy in his eyes.

It felt so good to see him like that even though nothing was going on between the both of us.

He hadn't stopped apologizing since I broke up with him one week ago. I caught the asshole making out with Bianca, the cheerleader in the locker room.

Bianca was a Vampire and that came with an almost irresistible charm so I can't blame him, but I can't be with someone who has kissed that witch.

I looked over my shoulder to look at her sitting in the back corner of the classroom. Her eyes met mine and she smirked devilishly. I sneered and I looked away.

Fred seemed to notice it and he chuckled. I smiled and looked away from him quickly.

Jessie leaned in towards me and whispered to me, “He’s good-looking.”

"Stop it!" I glared at her.

Shortly after, a man walked into the class, holding a briefcase.

“Sorry I’m late,” he apologized and sat down on Mr. Miller's seat, glancing at everyone in the class. His eyes stopped on Jessie for a while and it felt odd, but he looked away.

He introduced himself. “I'm Eddie Lakeview. Mr. Millie is unavailable at the moment so I'm your substitute teacher.”

Oh.

He was young and he looked so handsome, I could hear all the ladies talking about him.

A while later, the bell rang and Eddie dismissed the class.

“Eddie Lakeview, huh?” I stared at Jessie with a raised eyebrow as we walked out of the class. The name sounded familiar to me.

She stopped walking and she waited for everyone leaving the class to walk past us.

"Yes, you've heard the name. He's Roderigo's mate," Jessie said excitedly as soon as the hallway was clear.

Oh yeah, I remember now. Roderigo is Jessie's cousin and I remembered that she mentioned he found his mate who is a guy.

And Roderigo didn't think he liked guys until now.

"And he's teaching here?" I asked rhetorically, "well, that's something."

"Yes, it is. Anyway, he and Roderigo are attending a club he recommended and they invited us to come this evening," Jessie said and I was almost excited until-

"Oh, no, I have to practice this evening," I said.

Jessie frowned, "But you can skip practice just for today. You really need to come with me."

"My dad is going to be mad if he finds out I skipped practice," I stated.

"He might not find out. Come on, it's just for today," Jessie insisted and I sighed before finally agreeing.

"Fine."

Jessie pulled up in front of the club and I looked at the large neon light at the top.

Bite Me. What an odd name for a club.

I opened the door and climbed down from the car. Jessie slammed the door shut and I flinched, rolling my eyes. I followed her into the club and my ears were hit by the loud music.

I stopped walking as I noticed something. I could sense everyone in the club and most of them were..... Vampires!

What?!

I pulled Jessie back and she looked at me questionably.

"What??"

"Jessie, they are all Vampires, don't tell me this is a Vampire club!" I exclaimed silently and she behaved as if it didn't matter.

"This is a Vampire club, Eve."

"What? We are werewolves. We can't be here, what if they attack us?!" I asked, feeling so concerned and scared.

"Calm down, they are okay with Werewolves being here, and Eddie is even friends with some of them," Jessie assured, but I wasn't convinced.

She continued walking and I had no choice but to follow her. We stopped at the bar where Roderigo and Eddie were.

"You made it!" Roderigo smiled as she saw us and he hugged Jessie.

"Hi, Roderigo," I smiled and he faked a surprised look.

"Eve, does your dad know you came here?"

"Ouch." I chuckled and he laughed. He faced Eddie, "This is Eddie-"

"Eddie Lakeview, he's your mate, I know," I cut in and Eddie smiled.

"Okay, we are going out back to meet some people, we'll be back," Roderigo said and he left with Eddie.

"I need to use the restroom," Jessie excused herself too and he dropped her purse on the counter, leaving me all alone at the bar.

All of a sudden, the door of the club burst open and several Vampires walked in.

"It's you. You killed her!" One of them yelled at another Vampire and they attacked each other immediately. All the Vampires began to attack each other and my heart began to beat rapidly.

I need to get out of here. I began to run but stopped as I remembered leaving me and Jessie's purse at the bar. I ran back to the bar quickly and grabbed the bags when I suddenly felt someone hold my head from behind.

The last thing I heard was the snapping of my own neck.
