MasukKelsey's POV
I couldn't help but chuckle—turns out, that trick really did the job.
I was in the zone, studying away, when the sun started to dip low. My phone buzzed, and I did a double-take at the caller ID.
Marcus?
I stared at the screen for a solid few seconds, thinking I must be hallucinating.
Was he seriously calling me? Did he hit the wrong button or something?
The phone kept ringing, so I finally answered, tentatively, "What's up?"
"Skye and Wally are at the villa again," he said, flat as a pancake.
I felt my face burn with embarrassment.
I quickly said, "Kick them out and don't give them a cent."
"Come back and deal with this yourself. I'm busy," he said, and just like that, the line went dead.
I packed up my stuff in a hurry, hailed a cab, and headed straight to the packhouse.
Standing outside the villa, I felt a bit dazed.
I hadn't been back much since I moved out.

Third Person's POVCraig's eyes held a mix of envy, ambition, and hope.He looked down at Kelsey. "Kelsey, do you like the flowers?"Kelsey glanced at the blooms. "They're certainly beautiful."As soon as she spoke, Craig grabbed a similar bouquet nearby. "These are for you. When my studio expands someday, I'll get you just as many flowers."The nearby colleagues immediately cheered. "Say yes! Say yes!"Kelsey looked uncomfortable and was about to explain when she caught sight of someone walking in— Angela?Angela clicked in on her heels, looking haughty as she surveyed the setup. "It's almost finished, but a few small details need adjusting."Craig immediately put the flowers down. "Ms. Larson, what would you like to change? The designer responsible for this is here. She can make corrections right now."Kelsey saw the look of triumph on Angela's face and instantly understood. This engagement setup job was a
Third Person's POVAfter signing the papers, Catherine held Kelsey's hand and asked, "Kelsey, we're all set now, right? Skye and Wally can't change anything when they come out?""Right, they can't change it. This is a big corporation with strict rules.""That's good. That's really good."Kelsey turned to her brothers. "Let's go home."If her brothers hadn't shown up to back her today, Skye and Wally would have been much worse.Digby suddenly said to her, "Our group has a rule when we handle old community renovations—the first person to sign usually gets the best deal. You might get extra compensation on top of the money.""Really?"Kelsey smiled. "It doesn't matter either way, as long as Skye and Wally can't cause trouble."But she still felt a little uneasy—the company belonged to Angela's brother.Mia had deliberately messed things up last time. Could Angela be playing a trick this time, too?
Third Person's POVBack in the neighborhood, Kelsey finally relaxed once she confirmed Catherine was okay. Then, her brothers surrounded her, giving her another round of stern advice.Catherine was still worried. "The company went bankrupt. Will the renovation still happen?"Digby said confidently, "Don't worry, it will."Kelsey wasn't holding her breath. She knew getting into the relocation was a long shot to begin with.A moment later, a group of people in uniform walked in with a megaphone. "Hello, everyone. We are the new representatives taking over this project, from the GrandVista Real Estate Group. Please line up and sign your documents in order. We won't delay your relocation process!"The residents immediately started lining up.Kelsey was surprised. "GrandVista Real Estate is the one that bought the company!"Digby looked serious. "It's a huge group. You should feel even better about it. Their financial strength is solid."But Kelsey couldn't feel happy.GrandVista was the c
Third Person's POV"So, today's the signing day. Her foster parents already signed the papers."Marcus frowned and stood up. "Get over to that neighborhood now."The assistant looked confused. "Aren't you going back to handle the Mia situation? PR is waiting for your decision.""If I have to handle everything in PR myself, what's the point of me hiring them?"Marcus grabbed his jacket and walked out.The assistant sighed quietly. After all, Alpha Marcus just wanted to go and clear things up with Kelsey, right?Meanwhile, Kelsey hung up the phone and came out of the bedroom, seeing all six of her brothers in the living room. She was surprised. "What are you all doing here?"Digby spoke up. "We said we'd come to back you up, and we're here."After breakfast, the group headed to the old neighborhood.A friendly neighbor saw her and yelled, "Kelsey, your foster parents are here, too! Over there!"Kelsey
Third Person's POVKelsey's voice was ice cold. "I warned you last time. Don't mess with me again!""You're just some peasant from the slums. I can take you out like an ant! How dare you fight back? Just you wait! I'm not letting your family off the hook!"Kelsey laughed coldly. "Okay, go for it. But if you try anything, I have an even better video—and you're not wearing any clothes in it. I'm sure a lot of people would love to see that."The line went silent.Kelsey held her phone, her eyes stone cold. After a long pause, Mia's furious voice came back. "I can't believe how sneaky you are! I asked you a bunch of times if you deleted the video, and you kept it!""Yeah, I kept it. If you guys had treated me with a little respect and not like some maid, I probably wouldn't have kept it. I mean, it's not a pretty video to watch."Mia shrieked. "You bitch, Kelsey!""You forgot how you went crazy, stripped naked, and wer
Third Person's POVOn the other end of the line, Marcus stared at his phone screen—was Kelsey really not going to answer his call? She had been pretty tough in that text just now, hadn't she?He looked at the message, rubbed his temples, and dialed Mia's number. It took a good while before she picked up, her voice trembling with fear, "Marcus, what's up?"Marcus's voice was cold as ice, "Mia, wasn't getting your credit card cut off lesson enough? If it weren't for Mom begging me for hours last time, you would have been taken in for questioning by the police."Mia stammered, "I've been good lately, I haven't done anything.""Do you really think I can't find out? Mia!"Mia was so scared she was shaking all over. "Marcus, it's just that Kelsey's family got lucky with the old neighborhood renovation. But that house wasn't theirs to begin with, it belonged to her adoptive parents. Her adoptive parents taking the house back has
