Nothing

The sound of nothingness rangout through the darkness that was endless in all directions. The longer I stood in one place I could feel the coldness of the dark seeping into my bones as the feeling of thousands of little needle pricks tingled over my skin leaving it numb. Breathing in deeply I let my mind linger on the silence around me. But I am left with the bitter taste of emptiness on the tip of my tongue. Thoughts whirled in and out spreading like a wildfire wondering if I had met an untimely death, by the darkness taking me as I slept. Stabbing into my mind and drowing me in the absence of light, causing my insides to feel hollow as if the small bit that once illuminated my soul was no longer a part of me.
