ANMELDENChapter 2
Jared’s POV
The alarm is brutal but this morning it is absolutely needed. After coding for hours to close the gapping insecurity, I had to make up my late night at work to my wife. Her support is everything.
I was raised in an Omega household with 15 siblings, including an almost identical twin. So basically, I was just one in a crowd. The scholarship to Cambridge was everything. I got out of my village in Finland.
For two years I thought about nothing but getting to America and rising above my Omega status. Then I scented her. She had braids that were long enough to cover her back. Her eyes, pools of brown and gold, her lips full and lush, her smile froze me and heated me up at the same time.
I roll over and her pillow is cold. She needs sleep but I hear the shower. I look over and her bonnet is hung up. She is washing her hair. I lay back down, she is going to be a while.
Two years ago she lost the braids and decided she wanted natural hair. Since then she has kept it short and styled. I love it. When she steps out into the bedroom she moves around quietly.
“I’m awake My Love,” I announce making her giggle.
“I was planning on you sleeping in. I already had your assistant clear your morning,” She tells me as she covers her magnificent breasts with the torture device known as a bra. She slips into the matching panties and I can’t help the drool that silds out off my mouth. “Don’t you get more fluids on my sheets. I have to get the housekeeper to change them. They are dry right now.”
I laugh and lay back on my pillow. “I love you. But I have to get up and get to the office.”
Crystal rolls her eyes. “You do you, but I think you need to rest. It was a late night for you.”
“You made it a late night for me. That body you got, damn I can’t stop myself,” I jump off the bed and grab her by the waist.
I kiss her neck where 8 years ago I marked her with my canines. My wolf howled in my head that night. She moans from the kiss the same as she did that night in her dormitory on sheet that likely cost more than my rent at the time.
I was broke, a scholarship Omega, a dreamer with the outline of a security protocol. When she marked me I knew I had to work to deserve her. I would take nothing from her or her family. I would take my outline and make it real.
I pull her back to bed, on sheets we paid for, still expensive, but ours.
“I have to get to work,” She giggles in the fakest protest I have ever heard.
“Are you saying stop?” I ask sliding on top of her.
“I have never, nor will I ever say stop,” Crystal smiles up at me.
“Torn or take them off,” I tug at her panties.
“Tear them!” She moans loudly.
I rip her panties and toss them. I’m naked because after round three last night, I didn’t have energy to dress.
I push inside her loving how wet she is.
We move with a rapid speed. Our lips fighting for a deeper connection. I move my fingers between us and glide them along her clit, realizing I’m not going to last long. My dick slides in and out of her as we both reach our climax.
“Not the best orgasm you have ever given me, but not the worst either,” Crystal’s smile and giggle make me laugh.
“I had wolfsbane in system that night,” I remind her. “I got it up, that was impressive in of itself.”
She holds me close as we roll to my back. “I wish I had known about the wolfsbane that night. Delaying treatment almost killed you.”
“Almost doesn’t count. It was you,” I move a strand of hair to behind her ear, “You knew something was off and you got the care I needed.”
She looks down at me with saddness in her eyes.
“I only knew something was wrong because the sex was bad. I should have felt it, I should have known.”
“Baby, don’t blame yourself. Blame the one who did it to me,” I sit up with her straddling my lap. “It’s okay now. We know to look for signs and we know what to do. It was like most things, a learning experience.”
She smiles and kisses my lips again. “Yes it was. But I am glad it’s over.”
I hold her close and chose not to remind her we still have no idea who poisoned me.
“OH!” She jumps off me and grabs her phone. “Do you know anyone named Amiee?”
“No,” I shake my head and look at her phone. “Who in the fuck?”
“It’s one of Jason’s affairs. Did you know he was using your identity?” She asks me.
“No,” I answer truthfully taking the phone and reading the texts. “I didn’t. Why in the hell would he say he is me? Everyone in the world knows I’m married to and obsessed with you.”
“Well someone didn’t get the whole message. Because Amilee wants you to be only hers,” She bats her eyes at me and smiles.
“Amilee can go suck the devil’s dick, she will never see mine,” I say throwing the phone away. “She must be human. Any wolf would know you would feel betrayal.”
“I think the same. And clearly she is not his mate. He would have told him who he actually is. It’s almost impossible to lie to your mate,” Crystal staddles me again.
“It is impossible,” I smile at her as she takes my dick inside her again.
Whatever good thing I did to convince the moon goddess I deserve to be Crystal’s mate, I thank her for finding it worthy. Crystal is everything I dreamed a mate would be, with the added bonus of more of all of it.
When we are cleaned up and dressed, both having abandoned arriving at the office on time, we leave our apartment and head down the elevator.
When we pull out of the parking garage onto the busy streets of Atlanta, Crystal wants to talk more.
“Will you say anything to Jason?”
“I haven’t decided what to do Baby,” I tell her honestly. “Any ideas?”
“Let it go, let her hang herself. Keep receipts of where you are so that if she ever decides she is done being a sidepiece,” Crystal leans back in her seat. “Honestly, she is going to be completely devasted. I would feel sorry for her if she hadn’t taunted me. I would let this all go, sit her down and tell her about Jason. But she chose violence. She chose to send me pictures and taunts. She gets nothing from me. No respect, no sympathy. Nothing.”
I take my wife’s hand and kiss her fingers. “Understood.”
Chapter 4Jared’s POV“I’m sorry Patrick,” I say before he walks over to Amilee’s desk. I look at Crystal’s door, but she doesn’t come out. I’m not sure this is the best play, but I also know I will have blue balls if I defy my wife. “My Alpha is commanding this, I’ll do it,” Patrick huffs heavily. He walks over to Amilee’s desk and I connect to Crystal.Me-You need to at least watch him.Crystal-Okay Baby. She steps to her door and stands in the frame watching.“Amilee, I apologize for yelling when a simple whisper would have been effective. I will control my temper in the future,” Patrick turns back to me, playing his role well. I nod and return to my desk. Me-I feel disgusting.Crystal-Raise her up to watch her fall. She messed with me, I don’t like that. I won’t forgive her arrogance.Me-She is going to think I stood up for her.Crystal-Technically, you did. But Jason as you. Me-I think we should call this off and confront my brother. Crystal-Just let me play a little
Chapter 3Crystal’s POV“I think we should take her to the pack courtyard and drown her,” Tina my assistant scowls as we eat our lunch. I have just shared the Amilee situation with her. She is making me laugh.“It gets worse!” I chuckle. “Jason called HR today and asked if Amilee could get an assistant job. HR said her CV looked good. I said she can be your assistant.”Tina’s smile takes over her whole face. “Are you serious?”“She starts tomorrow,” I bat my eyes. “So she will be your runner and any grunt work you don’t want to do you won’t have to.”“She is going to see Mr. Laine come into your office for your afternoon quickies,” Tina warns sipping her iced tea and eyeing me closely. “I know. You may want to clear out for a while, I plan to dial up my moaning,” I smirk and Tina laughs. “Jason is going to regret getting her a job,” Tina smiles and we continue to plot Amilee’s downfall as we eat.At 5pm, Jared appears in my door. I smile and he looks at me with questions. “W

Chapter 1Crystal’s POVThe first text came in while I am fastening my bonnet after getting into my relaxing clothes. Normally Jared and I put our phones in the basket by the door. But tonight I am expecting my assistant to send over a file. And Jared is still a work. A security protocol failed this afternoon on the new software for a governmental department in Europe. Jared may have risen to Owner and CEO, but when programmers and coders need the big brain, he still pulls all nighters. As soon as my hair is safely tucked away I look at my phone. The text is from a number I don’t recognize. The preview is not at all vague.“This is Amilee. I have been sleeping your husband for 4 months. He keeps promising to leave you for me. I can’t keep hiding and sneaking around. I want to be honest with you. I love him and he tells me he loves me.”Attached on screen shots of texts between Amilee and a contact named Jared. Then a photo comes in. A pretty young woman, maybe 20, maybe
