Warren.

Her fair hair bounced about her slender shoulders while she turned this way and that,  pointing and saying something. I wasn't listening as usual and just tuned her out. “Warren!” I was pulled from my wandering thoughts when she shrieked from beside me causing me to cover my right ear. Noisy much.  

“What is it?”

Her lips thinned. “You weren't listening.”

“Of course I wasn't. You did drag me here against my will didn't you?”

Her hair curtained her face when she suddenly avoided eye contact. “Yeah, that's what I thought.” I said and stuffed my hands in the pocket of my jeans. “Are you through now?”

I had to get ready for the trip back to Florida cause the school had to cancel the whole thing. I knew nothing good would come out of this trip in the first place but no,  everyone just had to assume it was my fear of airplane trips speaking. Note lo
