The Assigned Mission

"ADAM!" I called my brother's name and he looked to my direction with his eyes widened.

"S-sis? Sister-!" He was about to ran to where I am when the Queen stopped him by holding his garment. The Queen glared at me.

"Let him go! Please!" I begged her.

"So you're his sister? Pathetic." The Queen smirked and shifted her gaze on the soldiers. "Kill her!!!"

My eyes widened when the Queen ordered the soldiers to kill me. Three of them went towards me with weapons in their hands. They are soldiers numbers 92, 93 and 94. I won't let them kill me. I still have things to do here. I still need to find my mother, I still need to bring Adam to somewhere safe.

"ADAM!!" I ran towards him. Confusion marks the face of the royal-blooded aliens as they see me coming towards them. I don't know what's going to happen to me. They might order the soldiers to shoot me dead. But my only priority is to get to my brother. I don't care what happens next.

"Shoot her!!! Don't let her get near us!!" The Queen ordered. Just like I expected.

"Halt!!!" Someone interrupted. The soldiers then stopped and shifted their gazes on that one person. I stopped as well and shifted my gaze on him. My forehead creased. Soldier? What can this soldier do to stop the queen's order?

"What is it, soldier? Are you trying to defile us?" The Queen asked, anger was evident in the tone of her voice. She was glaring at the soldier.

"What is going on, Soldier?" The Prince asked him with his forehead knotted. Even the prince himself didn't know what the soldier was doing.

"My Prince, Your Majesty." The Soldier bowed to them first before he faced the crowd. He was a distance away from the royal-blooded aliens. My forehead creased when the soldier stared at me. The three soldiers were waiting for the command to resume and the Queen has gotten impatient.

"I, Soldier Paulus, begged not to let this human be killed." The soldier said which made my jaw dropped. I heard everyone's gasps and gossips. Who would have thought that an alien would not allow a human be killed when their purpose here is to kill and enslave us?

"Give me a valid reason not to kill her, Soldier!" The Prince sounded desperate. I don't know why the soldier is doing this but I felt like there's a bigger role that I am supposed to play if I were to be freed.

"I am sensing that this human can help us in your search for your bride, My Prince." The Soldier answered. There was a moment of silence for all of us. Search for the prince's bride? And the soldier think that I can help them? What in the world is he thinking? I don't even have an idea who they are trying to search!

"In what way can this human help us?" The Prince asked again.

"I heard her talking to a certain person named Aries. She could be Princess Aries Celeste, the Earth's Royal princess." The Soldier answered. I tilted my head and tried to recall the moment. I have met the Royal princess without me realizing it? I covered my mouth and gasped. The Aries I saw last night was the princess? That's why she seemed familiar! And that's why she acted weird when I told her my name's Princess! Oh how stupid could I be? I was with the most important person last night and I didn't even realize that?

"I don't really care about that. Here is just one thing that I want you to remember. Never let that human get near me nor Adam!" The Queen spoke. I was about to ran towards them when they started leaving when I felt a touch on my arm, making me stop. I looked to my side and there I saw the Soldier with his serious stare.

"You need to let them be. Your brother will be safe with the Queen." He assured but I'm not convinced.

"You're aliens! We're humans! We're not on the same race! You think low of us! Do you think I'd believe you? And don't expect any help coming from me! I will never allow you to take the princess with you!" I stated firmly. And if he knew I was talking with the princess, he could've take her with him last night instead of me!

"Earthling, I am begging you. Just for now, I want you to trust me." I felt his grip on me tightened. I stared at his green eyes and saw how serious they were. I don't know but I suddenly soften. Should I trust him? I wanted to ask him why he didn't take the princess last night when he had the chance. Maybe I'll ask him next time. For now...

"Soldier Paulus, right?" I made sure.

"Yes. And you are?" He lets go of me.

"Princess. Princess Aguinaldo."

"You are a princess?" His forehead creased.

"No. My name is really Princess. It's not a royal title."

"Earthlings are weird." He smiled. I rolled my eyes inside my thought. No. Aliens are weirder.

I unconsciously shifted my gaze on the prince and saw him glaring at us. I don't know what I did to make him mad. Does he hate humans that much?

The Prince told Soldier Paulus to take me into the gigantic spaceship for something that must be discussed. Before I went inside, I looked back at the crowd. The area was still full of humans with soldiers surrounding them. I can't help but feel soften seeing my fellow beings suffered under the heat of the sun while I got the chance to be inside the spaceship and cool myself. I want everyone to be patient for now. I want to do everything to convince the aliens to stop this nonsense. I hope I will make it. Everyone, please, be patient. I won't just be saving my brother, I'll also save humanity.

When we got inside the spaceship, an unexpected thing happened. The Prince was walking first and Soldier and I were after him. The Prince, in such a speed, took the soldier's sword and pointed it at him. The soldier was off guard and ended up kneeling on the ground with such a fear.

"Soldier. Did you know why I am doing this to you?" The Prince coldly asked.

"I do, My Prince." Soldier calmly answered but there was fear present in his voice.

"Why didn't you take my bride when you had the chance?" Anger is evident in the tone of the prince's voice. "Do you know how much time we are wasting? I cannot wait to destroy this damn planet!"

I formed my hands into fists. Were they planning to destroy Earth? I shifted my gaze on the soldier. Should I thank him for not bringing the princess so soon? The Earth is still safe, unless the princess is found. I need to find the princess first!

"My apologies, My Prince. I am willing to accept any of your punishment as atonement for my mistake." The soldier remained his eyes on the ground, sign of admitting defeat. Silence filled the atmosphere afterwards. I waited for what's going to happen next. I am very confident that the prince won't do anything to soldier. I can tell that he's the only one whom he can rely on.

After seconds, the prince moved the sword and gave it back to Soldier. He turned his back on us and said,

"Bring me my bride as soon as possible. Take that lowly human with you."

I smiled secretly. This is my chance! I will surely find the princess first!
