Chapter twelve

"Are you asleep?" Javier questioned as he fixed his gaze on Caspian, who was sitting upright and had his eyes closed. "We have arrived at the castle."

"I know." Caspian mumbled before opening his fiery crimson eyes. "I'm worn out."

Javier laughed. "I understand that."

As the car halted precisely in front of the staircase leading to the castle's entryway, one of the soldiers unlocked the door with his head lowered in respect.

"I'm going to go for a walk." Caspian sighed and got out of the vehicle.

"You must first eat!" Javier shouted, but Caspian disregarded him and moved on.

Caspian walked steadily in the direction of the garden, taking in the chilly, clear night air.

Lightly groaning, he scoffed and lifted his eyes to the sky before deciding to turn around and return to the castle.

But as he started to feel uncomfortable, he stopped walking and his eyes grew wide. He had a nasty feeling that Mona would suffer some sort of misfortune.
