Maverick's POV

I sat beside my lawyer, Peter. He looked confident, and he was consistently flipping through the pages of my file. He'd cast a glance at me at every turn.

“There's obviously something on your mind. Why not just let it out?” I whispered to him. I didn't move an inch away to prevent anyone from knowing that we were having a conversation, or even try to listen to what we were saying.

“If we get this bail hearing, it'll be because of my expertise, and your luck.” Peter said calmly. “Let's try to win this though.”

“This is the bail hearing of Maverick Gray Vs The Wolf Jurisdiction for the first degree murder of Billy Campbell.”

I took a deep breath, about to watch Peter do whatever it is he has to do to get me out of here.

“Prosection? Let's get this thing over already.” The man Blue had referred to as the General spoke.

The defense lawyer stood up, buttoning his cloth. He was a middle aged man with a nice body, and I could tell that he was ready to cook.
