Chapter 4

It felt like I was in a trance as I nuzzled up against his leg and started slurring as I complained, "Hmph, it's not fair that anyone can threaten an Omega. It's not fair at all!" It had been two months since I started seducing Lucian, but nothing I did made him want me. Meanwhile, Soren had been keeping a close watch on me and coming after me every day for a progress report. Was he blind? Could he not see how Lucian treated me like an everyday object in his office?

I was starting to wonder if Lucian had a low libido, but the scent he emanated was so intoxicating that I could not help but continue nuzzling against him. It felt so good. I would never dare do such a thing if I were not drunk. Lucian would definitely grab me by the neck and fling me away.

My head was lowered, and I failed to notice something was off about Lucian, who was sitting with his legs apart. His Werewolf ears had popped up above his head, while his tail-end moved tensely. He was staring at the back of my slender neck.

"Stand up, Ilyra," Lucian's voice was husky. It sounded rich and lush like a ten-year-old wine, and it stirred a desire that burned deep inside me, reducing me to a puddle. I must be really drunk because I was brazen enough to hug Lucian's thigh.

"I don't want to. Why should I stand when you can't?" I stared at his crotch as I spoke. The bulge on it was hard to miss. "That's not right of you, little Alpha. Why are you erecting right now when nothing I did before excited you. You need to calm down!" I smacked it as I spoke.

Lucian jumped from his seat right away and screeched with rage and shock. "Ahh…!" It almost destroyed my eardrums. Why was that happening? He was supposed to be known for being poised and calm in the face of danger. However, since starting to work for him, I had begun to notice how emotionally unstable he was.

He would growl occasionally for no reason, and there were times when his ears and tail would pop up without him realizing it. Soren could not hide his excitement when I mentioned this. "I was right! Our Alpha has finally accepted this! I did it, Old Alpha! I don't want to be kicked out! Sob, sob, sob…"

I watched as Soren cried and laughed, no longer looking like the professional elite I used to know. This world must be crazy, or I could be the one who was crazy. I did not understand anything at all, and the only thing I knew to do was to continue following his instructions to work hard at seducing Lucian. However, my efforts would only incur sarcastic remarks from Lucian, which made me feel like a clown.

To be honest, Lucian was not really as terrible as he acted out to be. He would frown and finish his coffee even when he did not like it, and when he was frustrated, he would stoically grab the ears of the wolf accessory on his table. These little habits were… Kind of adorable in my eyes. He might be cold to me, but he never really gave me any real trouble.

Lucian would make sure I had time to rest, no matter how busy he was, and when he would occasionally feel exhausted from work, he would be a little clingy and lean on me. These unknown traits of our Alpha stirred something inside of me. Wait a minute. Was I developing feelings for him? I looked up at Lucian, who was staring down at me from above, and I could feel my heart beating wildly.

I wanted to lunge at him and bite him, I… I really wanted him. "Alpha, Lucian, don't you feel anything for me?" My lower abdomen quivered slightly, and a surge of weakness washed over me as I asked. Was I in heat?! That did not seem right. I still had a few more days before my heat cycle. Oh no, the scent around me was getting pungent from being in heat. "I want you inside of me."

My hands caressed his thigh pleadingly as I pressed my body tight against him. The air about Lucian seemed to turn dark. "Say that again?" I was in distress, it was unbearable, I really wanted… I forced myself to look into his eyes, and I could not control myself as my hands groped at his collar. I decided to go for it, regardless of the consequences. "I… I want you… I want to sleep with you."

Lucian crouched next to me, and his warm breath brushed my ears with a hint of strain in his voice, "You want to sleep with me?" I nodded with a glazed look over my eyes. He asked again, "Do you want to be my Luna?"

I thought about it and shook my head, but his moist, red lips looked so seductive. I gulped and nodded vigorously. "Will you let me sleep with you if I become your Luna?"
