CHARLES

How can I tell her that her touch was waking up the man called Charles? I don't want to scare her off, as I love it when she touches me.

I loved that she was getting so free, but why would I be so sensitive to her so much?

Is it necessary that she be my mate? I have endured a whole lot of temptations, but this, I can't hold in anymore. 

I tried, but it is not working.

“No, but you have to be careful. My body is slightly different, and some touch awakens a demon I can't control myself!” I said, and she looked so naive about what I was saying.

Does she not understand the concept of a man's body? Where has she been? Under the rock? Has she never been with a man before?

“I am so sorry!” She said and withdrew her hands. She looked sober, like she had done something wrong, and I smiled.

“It is fine. It is a natural reaction, and I should have been more careful. I should be the one who's sorry. You were just trying to be more inquisitive, and I should be the one who is apologizing!” I said, and she looked up briefly.

“You have eaten, haven't you?” I asked her, and she looked up.

“Yes, I ate. Mrs. Agnes was so generous to me, and I want to say thank you for the meal!” She said, and I nodded.

“You are welcome as long as you love the meal!” I said, and she shook her head.

“I love the meal, but I want to beg you to instruct the kitchen not to make so much. I am just a small lady; the meals are too much!” she said, and I nodded.

“I will do just that, my lady!” I said, and she blushed and looked down.

“You love it when I call you my lady, don't you?” I asked, and she shyly hit me once again. I chuckled seeing how innocent and shy she had turned herself into.

“I can’t wait to call you all the names that are so romantic and also give you my very last name!” I said and held her hand. 

She smiled while not saying anything, and I chuckled.

“When will you want to have the wedding? My clan has been needing a queen. I need to announce that my queen is here, but I can't do that without your permission!” I said, and she looked up.

“I am a lady with few demands. I have no family to do the rites for me, so I would love to be marked as soon as possible!” She replied, and I felt a lump in my throat.

She must have spoken her first words with pain in her heart. Every lady's dream is to have their family give them away in a grand style.

But she! 

She lost the chance to have a father and mother just because they were demoted as gammas and their daughter was labeled as a murderer.

They didn't even think twice before they disowned her and made her slave her life in the house of the man that almost raped her.

“Amy! You might not have found family or love, but now and here in this clan. We will be your family, and I will be your love.” I said and reached out for her hand.

“I swear to protect you and be your shield. I swear to make you happy and write your name on every passing stone.” I added, and she looked up at me with a confused gaze.

I am sure she is trying to see if I am playing with her or not.

“I promise you this, and this shall I do!” I swore to her, and she was stunned.

“I am a man of my word, Amy. You are my mate, and I will never allow anything to happen to you. I promised her, and she smiled.

“Thank you!” She said and I smiled and rubbed her hands.

“You don't have to thank me, it is my duty and I will fulfill it till my last breath!” I said, and she smiled.

“So when would we have our functions! My lord!” She said and I chuckled.

“I am not your lord; I am Charles, your mate. You're going to be a husband. I will never be called lord by you but by a romantic name!” I said, and her eyes widened.

“Charles!” She called under her breath and I smiled.

“No rush, till whenever you are ready!” I said, and she smiled.

“I don't want a marriage without love. I want you, your heart, and your body! I want to belong to you as you will belong to me!” I said to her, and she stopped smiling.

“So we are not having a marriage until we are ready. We will fall in love every day till the day you are ready to be called my wife and Mrs. Lavista.” I added, and she could only stare at me.

“I know you must have had a man in your heart at some point. Well, we are all humans, but I won't stop until you have me in your heart. I will pursue you as a man pursues his woman, and I will make sure I love you all the way until your heart is soft for me!” I said, and she smiled at me.

”Who said my heart isn't soft towards you?” She asked and I smiled.

“Well, it will be when I am done. Anything you feel now is probably being grateful because I am your mate and I saved you. I don't want you to be grateful to me.” I said and she froze.

“I want you to fall in love with me!” I said, and her eyes shone! 

“I want you to get to know me better, above the part that I am a king. I want you to know me as a partner, your man. An ordinary man who is called Charles and wants to love you for the rest of his life!” I said and she looked at me and held my hand.

She closed in and hugged me immediately!
