Amelia's POV…

“Where are you going Luna?" Runa asked as I stood up and moved towards the door.

I furrowed my brows. “I'm thirsty and I want to get water to drink,"

“Okay," she came towards me. “I'll help you with that. Just sit,"

I didn't move and she didn't either. She seemed to be waiting for me to sit before she leaves.

“I can help myself. You don't have to worry about that. You've been up and active all day, I don't want to stress you,"

“No," she said, her voice low. “I'll help you with anything,"

She was so persistent so I gave up trying and sat back down.

She left the room and just seconds later, she came back.

She handed me a cup of water. I took it and muttered a ‘thank you'. I drank from it and the water seemed to energise me more for my plans.

I set the cup on the table next to me, my thoughts spiraling on how to escape.

I stood up and casually walked around the room. I stopped by the door and made to open it immediately, but she was so quick to block me before I could even open the door.

“I'm sorry Luna, but you can't leave the room," she said, standing in front of the door.

I blinked in confusion. "What's that supposed to mean?”

I was annoyed by her actions. I had the freedom to go wherever I wanted.

“If you need something, I can always…”

"I don't need anything,” I cut her off. "I just want to walk about the store and see how preparation is going,”

"I'll ask the servants to come and report to you how everything is coming along. If you want, I'll make them prepare Infront of you,”

I scoffed as I stared at her in disbelief. She was making me angry. She had no right to stop me. I'm her Luna… though Colton hasn't claimed me as his Luna yet. I was only his mate.

"Don't worry about that,” I decided to use a new tactic. “I want to receive fresh air,"

“There's air in here…" she tried to counter.

“Outside," I growled. I could feel the colour of my eyes about to change.

I didn't know why, but whenever I was angry, my eye colour usually changes. Not like the colour of Nyx’s eyes, but a totally different colour. My mom called it fury.

No one knew about it… not even Colton. Only my mother.

I try all the time not to get angry, so people wouldn't know about it. But Runa here, was tempting me.

“I want to get some air outside,"

“I can open up the widows more and you can lean by the window to get some air. it's the same as outside,"

“No," I shook my head. “I've been in here all day. I want to stretch my legs and get some air,"

“I'm sorry," she lowered her head. “Alpha didn't permit me to allow you go out,"

My heart sank. So this was why Colton sent her. To monitor my movements and to make sure that I don't attend the banquet.

Tears stinged at the corner of my eyes and threatened to fall. I raised my head and blinked rapidly, forcing them back in.

“Are you okay Luna? Do you feel unwell?" She asked.

“If I'm your Luna, then you listen to me and do as I said. Let me go,"

“I can't. I only take orders from the Alpha,"

I staggered backwards slightly. Was that what I was? An insignificant mate… whose decision doesn't matter?

Was that what they all thought of me.

I sat down, my head hung low.

“I need some space,"

“Sure Luna. I'll be outside your door," she bowed again and left.

I let it out. I cried my pain out. Was I only by his side to warm his bed? He had to go as far as sending someone to keep me from leaving.

‘Don’t cry. Please be strong for us’ Nyx said, her voice filled with pain.

I sniffled. ‘Yeah. No matter what they think, we can't let them stop us’

I must attend that banquet. I need to see what Colton had planned for Victoria tonight.

Amelia's POV…“I thought about it last night," Jaxen said the next morning. “I guess I shouldn't be so mad at you. I mean, anyone would do the same. You were only trying to survive," she added. She held my hands. “I forgive you," I smiled widely. “Really?" She nodded. “Yeah… but don't do it again. I won't let it slide,” I nodded. "Thank you so much,” I embraced her. "I deeply appreciate it,”"So,” she sighed. "Who is that lady and what exactly is going on? Tell me everything,”"That lady, she's the best female warrior we have,” I started. "A warrior?” She asked. I nodded. "No wonder she was so stoic,” she said. I was silent for a while. "My mate, Alpha Colton, was the reason I left the pack. My mother was his servant and she worked in his mansion. I was helping her out. We are so low in rank, as omegas, that when I found out he was my mate, I couldn't believe it, even though I secretly admired him," She nodded. I continued. "But he was already in a relationship with the Bet

Amelia's POV…“She's pregnant?" Runa asked as she turned to me and looked at my belly. “Remove the pregnancy," he repeated. “I won't want a servant of mine to bear a child for someone from that pack," he added with resent. “But Alpha…" “Don't you dare counter my instructions," he cut her off. I was too surprised and shocked at the same time. My heart was beating so fast and I felt my body shaking. They want to remove my babies. I clutched my stomach and held my chest, because I was so scared. I looked at Jaxen. She was equally tense. His men came and started dragging me away. "No. No. Let me go,” I screamed and kicked trying to release myself. "Please don't hurt my baby,” I kept screaming. A painful slap landed on my cheeks. My crying voice was muffled because of how the tears choked me. "Ahhhh,”I kept screaming as they led me to somewhere I haven't been to. I was forced on a bed and my hands and legs were tied to the bed. Runa came in shortly after. “Do what you must

Amelia's POV…We marched into a very big hall. The moment we entered, Nyx whimpered. The energy from Draven made every wolf in the room quiet. We marched around till we were each standing in front of him in a horizontal line. I raised my head slowly and looked at him. He was sitting on a huge seat and he was wearing black attire. His Aura was dark. I quickly lowered my head. I turned to the left and saw Jaxen. She was looking down as well. “Why did you trespass?" I looked up to see who asked that. It was a man standing next to Alpha Draven. He must be his beta. Nobody said anything. I guess we were all too scared to talk. “ANSWER ME," he growled. I yelped when he growled angrily. Bertha walked behind us. “You'd better talk if you want to leave here alive," I swallowed a lump. "Who were the two found in the doctor's place?” It wasn't the beta asking this time… it was Draven. I felt like disappearing so that they wouldn't point at me. The guard who found us that night walk

Amelia's POV…“You need to receive check up," Jaxen said. We were in a small room. We were moved from the dungeon to a slave house. I hadn't met Draven yet, though they had come back from battle. “You know there's no way I can," I said. “If they find out I'm pregnant, they're going to kill my babies," “But it's equally risky to not get care or checkup," she urged. “What do you want me to do?" I asked. “Just tell Bertha that you're pregnant. I'm not sure Alpha Draven will eliminate the baby as long as it's just a common wolf's baby," she reasoned. I was silent. I wasn't a common wolf. I was his rival’s mate. “Jaxen, there's something you should know," I said. It was time to come clean. “I know you're going to be unhappy about this and I'm sorry for keeping it from you. I didn't mean to," I said. “What did you hide from me?" She asked. “I…" I paused. ‘It is for the best,’ Nyx assured. “I'm not an ordinary wolf," I started. “And I have a mate just that…" “I know what you're

Kyra's POV…It's been three days since Victoria came to see me and since then, she's not returned to hear my final answer. Maybe she realised that I wasn't ever going to do what she asked. Or… she's still giving me time to think. I was outside, seated on a bench. The children were playing in the field. The boys played football while some of the girls were riding on the seesaw while others acted like queens and princesses. I've had a lot of fun watching them play. For the past three days, I've been going to their ward to watch their games. It was wild and very funny. Also, I was going to know if there would be a chance to meet Drew again. Doctor Elena said my wolf was waking and that I should practice reaching out to her so she would feel me too. The breeze got a bit heavier and it nearly blew my IV pole. I held onto it and closed my eyes. When it had settled, I opened my eyes and checked if the kids were okay. They seemed fine still playing. I stood up to get some water to dr

Kyra's POV…“Yeah, that's Andy," he said, stepping in fully. Out of nowhere, I felt tongue-tied. "Oh right,” I muttered. “Hey Andy,” someone yelled. “It's your brother," The children started running towards him and they embraced him. They looked so small compared to him. “Hey, how are my little wolves doing?" He asked, touching their cheeks and rubbing their hairs. “I'm not fine," the girl who was holding me earlier said. She folded her arms and sulked. “You no longer come around," she said. He smiled as he squatted to her level. “I'm sorry. I had things to do and you know, I had duties. But I'm here now," he paused. “I have something for you," he said and their eyes lit up. "There's a surprise down in the hallway,” he paused and looked at each of them. "Everyone has a surprise waiting for them,”"Yay,” they screamed in excitement and hugged him again and ran towards the door. He looked up and my breath hitched when his eyes met mine. Well yes, the Beta is so handsome and I
