Just Three Steps

I didn’t know what possessed me to reach farther away from the vicinity and to the highest mountain. I was greeted by the cool eerie, enveloping around the murky forest. Despite the hour meekly reaching noon, the surrounding felt it was late evening and the cold air touched my fur didn’t help to cool my fevered state down.

I almost tripped as I’ve never been accustomed to my wolf's form aside from hunting. Yet despite the dangers of these mountains, the hurdles felt like seconds once I'd sensed my finishing goal.

I stopped my tracks as I noticed a sign placed before the darker depths of the woods.

ALL ARE PROHIBITED OF ENTERING FURTHER

And oddly enough, I returned to my flesh, my body completely naked after the sudden transformation. The chills around my body with the absence of warmth brought me back to my senses.

W-Why did I reach here? What was my purpose for coming here? It was as if when I changed into my wolf form, I was lost in my consciousness.
