Chapter Seventy-One

Nathan POV

I fucked up; Layla didn't leave me, she was taken from me by two psychopaths, and I can't kill them; she already has. What the fuck am I going to do to make this right. Guilt has been gnawing at my gut since Amy told me. Layla was the best thing ever to happen to me, and I blew it. Then to make matters worse, I slept with several unmated females in my pack, and Layla knows. What the fuck have I done?

Amy still isn't speaking to me, and I have no idea how to fix anything. Drew walks into my office, handing me a coffee. I look at him and ask,

“How do I make things right with Layla?”

He shrugs as he sits across from me and says,

“I have no idea, Nathan. Have you tried to contact her?”

I shake my head. “No,” He growls,

“Well, if you don't make the first move, you're not going to get anywhere, are you?”

“I don't know what to say to her, Drew.”

“Well, sorry, would be a good fucking start, wouldn't it”

Drew has a point, but we both know sorry isn't going to cut it. I
