Saving Zion was exactly what Gabriella needed. It was the good news everyone needed. She knew the Wolf King would come for them now, but she had her friend back! Jake met them just as they reached the border of the homelands. He didn’t even greet anyone as he rushed to Zion and held onto her. They couldn’t stay there all day, and Gabriella was thankful when Lucienne reminded them where they were.

They shifted back into their wolf forms, but Zion was too tired to shift and Jake bent down so she could ride on his back. Making their way through the border, they didn’t take long to reach the house and everyone rushed over to greet them. Melody had a lot to say to Gabriella, but Gabriella could see that she was biting her tongue. She knew she should have at least told her friends and Lucienne where she was going, but she didn’t want anybody else getting hurt.
