Maya's POV

The sun had barely risen when Lily and Stella walked into my room.

I blinked sleepily, brushing my hair. “Already bossing me around, huh?”

Lily had just tossed a silky red dress on my bed, the fabric gleaming like liquid fire, and Stella was grinning at me. “And before you even think of saying no, this was expensive, so you’re wearing it.”

Lily chimed in, “Maya, get up! We’ve got no time to waste — tonight’s your homecoming party!”

Lily snorted “You’ll thank me later when Liam can’t take his eyes off you.”

That name made my heart skip. Liam. My mate. My Alpha. The one person who could make me weak and strong all at once. I tried to act casual, twirling a strand of hair.
