Chapter 16: After the getaway

Blaze's Point of View

"I'm so dead," Summer exclaimed.

We had just returned from our getaway when we noticed her parents waiting outside their home. She hurriedly opened the door and went to them, and I discovered she had not texted them to let them know where she was going.

"Oh no, this is bad," I thought.

I followed her; I believe I should be the one to explain to her parents; after all, it was my idea. When they saw their daughter, her mother's look softened, and his father breathed a sigh of relief.

"Mom, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were going home today,"

"Oh my God, Summer, you still need to tell us when you're going somewhere so we don't need to worry like this," his father said.

They are correct; parents should always be aware of their child's whereabouts. As I approached them, his father stared at me.
