~Brady~Dr Gates and John come out of surgery on Logan. Dr. Gates gives John a nod, and he heads to the elevator. “I hope you will excuse John. He’s concerned about his daughter, understandably so.” Dr. Gates reveals nothing, his steady tone rehearsed over decades of practicing medicine. “Of course. How is Logan?” Dad asks eagerly. “He is stable, but he’s got some pretty serious injuries. Since he does have alpha blood, he should make a complete recovery. Perhaps some scarring, but nothing severe.” Dr. Gates claps Dad on the shoulder. “Whoever performed first aid on him probably saved his life. ~Lindsey~ The ambulances shortly arrive, and we’re all whisked away to the hospital. I hand Aunt Cammie my phone, not wanting to deal with anyone right now. It’s been blowing up since we got into the ambulance. I saw how Logan was. His body almost limp, every touch searing with pain. I couldn’t even move him to see if his back was injured.
