Epilogue

Just as they were beginning to relax, a soft, eerie howl echoed through the night. Adonis and Mack looked at each other, their senses on high alert.

"What was that?" Mack asked, his eyes wide with fear.

"It's just the wind," Adonis reassured him. "Or maybe one of the wolves from the pack, letting off some steam."

But deep down, Adonis couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The howl sounded too distant, too haunting. It didn't feel like a regular pack member's call.

"I don't like this," Mack said, his voice trembling. "What if it's something dangerous?"

Adonis tried to put on a brave front, but his instincts were telling him that they should be on guard. "Let's go find Alpha Leori," he suggested. "He'll know what to do."

Mack nodded, grateful for the suggestion. The two of them quickly made their way to Alpha Leori's chambers, their hearts racing with both fear and determination.
