I expected it.

I expected his words yet it cut deep, my hands shivered for a second. I lost the courage to go on, to keep acting like he meant the world to me. As I raised my head to catch a glimpse of his already darkened expression, I bite hard on my lips.

Cursing.

But his growl rang in the chamber, his grip tightened. I could feel his already hot breath that made my neck tingle, an awakening that I might have just caught this monster's attention.

His questions about Xander was unsettling too and I wished I didn't have to keep pretending. I wished I didn't have to be so close to him.

" Trying to seduce me, little devil?" He asked, his voice hoarse.

I wanted to curse him, but I stopped myself at the very last minute. Instead, my face expression turned seductive. Or at least I tried to look the part. I could have continued, I mean the seductive act, but the asshole didn't even give me any face.

" You are failing miserably, little devil..."
