3. New home

Once my step mom walked out the door with my little sister I began cleaning the house again and doing the laundry just like she ordered.

Once I was done, I ironed the clothes and placed them in her closet nicely then proceeded to making  dinner.

By the time I was done with everything, and the dinner table all set, it was 6p.m.

the sound of a car pulling into our drive way made me quickly grab some bread running to the basement I mean my room. I sat down on my bed which was just a brown blanket spread on the cold floor.

I sat there waiting for any sign of Mrs Smith coming down the basement stairs.

Once there was no sign, I relaxed myself eating the bread then proceeded to get some sleep. First time sleeping without any bruise on my body.

" wake up you brat." I felt cold freezing water land on me jolting me awake from my peaceful or not so peaceful sleep. 

I opened my eyes only to stare at angry Mrs Smith holding an empty bucket. My 'bed' was wet and so was my clothes and small Blanket that I covered myself with.

" I want you to pack all your rugs we are moving.." She said with a snear climbing the stairs leaving me.

'What? No no no we can't move if we do then I will never see kade again. No this can't be happening.

I quickly took out a pencil and  paper and wrote a letter to kade.

After I was done I packed all my things which was only my mom's dress and a necklace she gave me before she died and some over sized torn clothes that my step mum gave me. They really were rugs. The only thing nice was the teddy bear kaden gave me and also my mom's dress and necklace. I made sure I kept it safe even when my little step sister Connie wanted it I didn't give her. My step mom beat me up badly because I had refused to give up the teddy bear and after seeing that I still wasn't giving it up she decided to let it be..

After I was done packing I left the Basement and went up were she was waiting for me with a smirking Connie.

" finally  you are done you brat." She said and I Flinched thinking she will hit me again.

"Anyway I am not in the mood for this. Carry our bags and place them in the car." And I did as told. I didn't even have time to take a shower, I was still wearing my wet clothes.

"Here go take a shower and Wear this." She handed me some black leggings with a pair of white vans and a new shirt.

This is the first time she has ever given me nice clothes and I began to wonder what she was up to.

Anyway I took a shower brushed my teeth, tied my still wet hair into a ponytail and wore the clothes she gave me.

After that I left the bathroom and went near the door.

I looked in the key hole and saw her sitting in the car waiting for me.

This is my chance.

I snuck out the back door and went near the window to Kaden's room but it was way up I couldn't reach it. I resulted into just throwing the piece of paper under the door. I am sure one of them will see it when they come then give it to kaden.

'Hope he sees it' I silently prayed to the man above.

I quickly ran back into the house and opened the front door.

" hurry up I don't have all day." She said and I sat on the back seat watching the passing scenery as she drove off.

A single tear left my eyes while I hugged the teddy bear I named fluffy bunny. I was so heart broken. I will never get to see Kade the guy who helped me through alot and I was kinder falling in love with him. I can't believe I won't be able to see my boyfriend again

" We are here." Connie's annoying voice screeched.

I Looked at the house and I gasped. It wasn't a house but a hug mansion. 

We got out the car and my mouth literally fell on the ground.

"You like the view?" A man in his late twenties said to me and I simply nodded.

" this is my step daughter Kaira. " mum said in a sweet fake voice. With a fake smile plastered on her face.

" nice to meet you Kaira." The man said leading us into the huge mansion which was just as beautiful in the inside as the outside.

the floor was black and well polished such that you could almost see your reflection. Key word almost. I felt a

cold shiver run down my spine thinking about how I will be shining this floor everyday. 

The walls wear painted a beautiful lighter shade of charcoal gray with elegant paints adorning them. The place looked marvelous.

We climbed up the stares and came to a halt in front of the first door on the first floor.

" This is your room Connie." The man said opening the door showcasing a beautiful pink room that had a big bed in the middle with lots of teddy bears

" thank you! thank you! daddy." She said jumping up and down. Wait did she just call the man Daddy? 

"Glad you like it. Come let me show you yours Kaira,." the man said leading me down the corridors

" and this is your room. " He opened the door to a beautiful nude colored room with a queen size bed on the middle.

The room was smaller than Connie's but big enough for me.

" Thanks sir." I said entering the room.

" Don't be silly just call me Dad, right Delilah?" the man said looking at Mrs Smith huh I never knew her name was Delilah it suits her.

"Yes sure he is your new daddy now.." she giggled. The way she was being overly sweet right now I might get diabetes.

"Okay.." I nodded my head looking around the room.

There was a small couch on one side with a table and chair on the other side. 

On the table were some books and pens just what I needed. The room had its own bathroom and a small closet.

I opened it to find a stack of new clothes begging me to wear them.

'Are all these for me?'. I asked my self.

" Hey kaira sweetie come down for dinner." Mrs Smith or Delilah said with a fake sweet voice. There is something fishy going on here.

Anyway I washed my hands and face and headed down to the dinner table.

It was full of nice and expensive looking food that made my mouth water.
