I watched the smile on her face as we chatted and drank our coffee. Somehow, being with her made me forget everything else and be lost in a world where only her existed. Was I falling for her?

“I have to run home now.” I heard her say, bringing me back to reality. “Before someone sends a search squad.” She completed, more to herself than to me but I read her lips and figured out what she said. I was quite good at that.

“It’s fine. I had no idea we had taken so much time. Should I walk you to your car?” I asked, wanting to at least spend a little more time with her.

“No, it’s fine. You were supposed to have another meeting about half an hour ago. Are you sure it’s okay to be this late?”

“It’s fine, I messaged my secretary that I’d be running late.”

“Then I shouldn’t keep you any further.” She said, flashing me a broad smile that reached her eyes. Her beautiful cerulean eyes.
