I watched Tamara from the corner of my eyes as I drove. She really was confused, not because she still wanted to be with her boyfriend but because she really wanted to get out of that relationship quickly, but getting out was hard, for Liam, it would be.

I tried to focus my attention back on the road. I couldn’t help but think though, if Liam was a werewolf, and his entire family was too, not that it would make it right, it would have been a lot easier to break things off. They’d understand what it was like to be mated with someone and would also understand Tamara’s sudden decision to end things with Liam. Since they weren’t, it was really frustrating.

My gaze shifted to the rear view mirror when I noticed a car’s flashing brake light. It was Aiden and Damian’s car coming behind us. I understood what that light meant and smiled.
