Aiden’s parents didn’t live at the pack house. They stayed in a pretty cottage a few metres from the house so we could get there on foot. It was only a twenty minute walk. Aiden suggested that we take the car anyway but I refused. I was nervous and needed some time to gather my wits. Walking with him would help me relax before I had to face them. So he agreed and we walked hand in hand.
