Chapter 12

* Dorian's POV *

She gestured to her guard to come closer and he did. " Give this to them," She said, pointing at the family on the floor who are on the edge of dying.

Her guard rushed to them immediately and struggled to ensure a drop of the antidote drop in each of their mouths.

After he did that, he returned to Luna Daciana and returned the jar to her.

Luna Daciana turned to me and then my brows raised unconsciously before I could stop it. I'm glad she didn't take that offensive as she oy replied with, " Now we wait for five minutes " She said and her eyes moved to the big clock hanging in the hall and everyone else in the room followed with their gaze to the clock.

The hall went dead silent for those moments as everyone had their eyes on the clock and once it was exactly five minutes, we heard a series of coughs coming from the family on the floor and two guards rushed to them to lift them.

I hid my shocked look when they got to their feet and were now looking perfectly normal and well.

" Take them home and ensure they eat to the fullest so they can be perfectly healed, " Luna Daciana said to the guards who obeyed immediately and took them out of the hall.

Luna Daciana turned her face to mine and I knew it wasn't a pleasant one.

" And what does Alpha Dorian has to say to me and the elders about his lover who almost took the life of this innocent family? " She said with a straight face, surprising everyone a bit, with her words.

" Excuse me? " I couldn't help but let out.

" Aren't you going to take responsibility for her mistakes? " She asked again.

I was about to say a thing but Ashina cut me off. " I will take responsibility for my own mistakes," She said, making Luna Daciana direct her attention to her.

" And how are you going to do that? " She asked.

" By getting locked up in the cell for three days as per the law " Ashina replied fearlessly.

" And what do you have to say to me for helping you, if not you would be getting hanged some minutes from now, " Luna Daciana said.

I could see a tiny smirk on Ashina's lips before she went down to her knees.

" Thanks for your great gesture Luna Daciana," She said with a little bow.

" I think this should be enough since you're the Alpha King's Luna, everyone knows you for your kind gesture " Ashina added.

Luna Daciana scoffed lightly before turning to me and I could sense a feeling of defeat in her eyes.

I couldn't decipher the look she was passing me and neither could I perceive its feeling but something told me it meant "Watch Out". No, this can't be.

This is just my subconscious right?

She turned to leave until Ashina stopped her again. " Is Luna Daciana leaving for her kingdom already? " She asked, still on her knees.

Luna Daciana turned slowly to look at her, she averted her gaze and then looked up at me.

" Is Alpha Dorian and his associates sending me away from their kingdom after saving their villager's life? " She asked, looking directly at me.

" We wouldn't dare Luna Daciana, she only asked a question your Highness " I responded, almost immediately.

She gave no response and then glanced at Ashina who was still on her knees and had a straight face on.

She turned to me and then with a dry chuckle. " And don't you think your lover is becoming a bit too rude for my liking? " She asked like she was offended and I knew she was.

" She wouldn't like to see how vicious this kind Luna can be sometimes," She said and I knew she meant it.

" I apologize on her behalf Luna Daciana," I said, ignoring the fact that she had been referring to Ashina as my lover.

" Good," She said and then turned away from my view and then began walking out of the hall, her guard followed behind.

She stopped on getting to the entrance as usual and I knew, as usual, she probably had a thing to say but she said nothing and only twisted her head to the left side to look at Conri who bowed lightly.

Her eyes settled on him for a while before she looked away with a smirk I saw very visibly, then she walked away.

That meant something. I glanced at Caddel and he already had his eyes on mine.

" Take her away," I said to two of the guards standing beside Ashina and they did as told and Ashina followed without hesitation but not after glancing at me.

" You all are dismissed, " I said as I stepped down the tread board and made my way out of the hall with Caddel and Kaden who followed behind me immediately.

** Luna Daciana's POV **

" Should I do anything, My Queen? " Dolph asked on entering my room.

" How are they fairing? " I asked.

" They're perfectly fine " He responded.

" You may leave then, " I said.

" Alpha King Elvin sent a message " He suddenly said and I raised my brows.

" Which is? "

" You're needed urgently at our kingdom " He replied.

" We can't leave yet, not when I've not even started my revenge scheme," I said with a smirk on.

" We could come back, right? " He said but I shook my head.

" You stay here while I leave secretly to go see what he needs me for, " I said and he nodded.

" Before then. " I suddenly said and he raised his brows.
