I didn't meet anyone's eyes as I quickly changed into my gym clothing and shoes. I had worked out, by their scents, that in the changing room there were three female wolves with me. I could feel their eyes burning holes in my back. I tried to steady my racing heart as I turned to meet their looks.
"Got a good enough look yet?" I huffed, my wolf getting riled up for a fight. She was ready to taste blood.
"You have no right here rouge" one of the girls hissed, her hair so blonde it looked almost white and eyes a dull grey.
"I have every right that you do" I replied, crossing my arms over my chest and sticking one of my hips out.
"Our Alpha may not own this territory, but our packs treat this land like our own. We wouldn't tolerate rouges here" another girl growled, her face turning as red as her hair.
"Leave now and we'll let you live" the third wolf said, her blonde hair pulled into a tight bun. I sensed that she was the strongest of the three wolves, but she still had nothing on me or my wolf. I just laughed at her threat.
"Pack wolves" I shook my head as I chuckled, "you all do amuse me" I laughed some more before I patted the girl on the shoulder and walked out the changing room. Mason was waiting for me outside the changing room with a smirk on his face. "Hear that?" I asked.
"Yeah, it was hilarious," he laughed. "Leave now and we'll let you live" he mimicked the blonde girl's voice and I snorted in laughter. "Come on" he smiled at me as he flung his arms over my shoulder and led me towards the gym.
"Well, well, well" a male voice said as Mason and I entered the gym. A group of boys walked over to us, all of them Werewolves. I stiffened automatically, so did Mason. "So the rogue has a rogue girlfriend," he continued.
The wolf was tall with curly brown hair and dark eyes, he watched me with a smirk. "She's my sister and if you so much as touch her I will pull your arms from their sockets" Mason snarled at the boy.
"You got a name cutie?" the boy asked me, ignoring Mason completely.
"I have, it's none of-your-fucking-business" I informed him and Mason smirked in amusement.
"Feisty," the boy chuckled. My curly strawberry blonde hair, that often looked a ginger colour, made me look younger than seventeen. That paired with my large emerald coloured eyes, made me look innocent and cute. I had worked out that wolves like that in she-wolves, because it made them feel like they could protect them. But I did not need protection from this boy. I may have been cute, but I was not pretty.
"Did you need something?" I asked rudely, narrowing my eyes at the dark haired man.
"Maybe your phone number" he smirked at me and Mason growled at him.
"I'd rather give you a kick in the balls" I replied and Mason coughed over a laugh. The boy smirked at me, his eyes looking at me with amusement.
"Alright everyone quieten down" the teacher said walking in. Mason pulled me to the other side of the gym as the group of male wolves were joined by the female wolves from the changing room. They were all looking at each other Intently, I had a feeling they were talking through their mental connection.
Just as the lesson began two of the wolves left the gym and ran off. I exchanged a look with Mason, he shrugged saying it was nothing. After the lesson I quickly changed and met Mason again, the two wolves hadn't returned. That worried me, but Mason told me it was nothing.
"Come on I'll walk you to your next lesson" Mason offered me, taking my hand and walking me through the corridors of the school. The corridors were empty as we walked, only the sounds of our feet on the floor. As we rounded the corner we both froze, the smell of a large group of Werewolves hit us.
Mason swore as we heard people coming up behind us. "Ditto" I mumbled as the group came into sight. As well as the wolves from the gym, there were about ten wolves, at the front were two tall men. One of them I assumed was a Beta, It was obvious the other one was an Alpha.
The Alpha looked at me and stopped. The other wolves all skidded to a halt in confusion. Mason tried to pull me further down the corridor, away from the wolves, but I didn't move. I was staring at the Alpha.
He was tall and muscled with light brown hair and matching eyes. A small amount of stubble spread over his jaw, making it look even more defined and sharper than It already was. He wore a pair of basketball shorts and a tight t-shirt, It was obvious he had run in wolf form to get here. He was young for an Alpha, nineteen maybe twenty. He was, for lack of a better word, beautiful.
"Mate" he growled, his eyes stuck on me, "mine". Everyone gasped, and Mason stopped pulling my arm. He slipped his arm around me, drawing me closer to me. He growled at the Alpha. I stood still, I think I was in shock. This Alpha, this Alpha was my mate.
The Alpha growled back as he stalked over to me. Mason snarled and shoved me behind him. "Don't fucking touch her" Mason growled, blocking my body from the Alpha. It felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest.
"She is mine" the Alpha growled in reply, reaching around Mason to grab me. Mason shoved the Alpha's chest with all his strength. The Alpha flew back, crashing into a row of lockers. He was up In seconds, his eyes full of anger. Mason backed up until he had me pressed against the wall.
"Give her to me and I'll let you live, rogue" the Alpha snapped at Mason, his body shaking; getting ready to shift any moment. I couldn't let him hurt my brother, but then I also didn't want my mate hurt either.
"Stop, please don't hurt him" I pleaded, slipping out from behind Mason, who was getting ready to shift or fight. He grabbed my arm, not letting me get any closer to the Alpha.
The Alpha turned to me, his eyes meeting mine. He grabbed my other arm, trying to pull me closer to him. Mason and he both pulled, I yelped and they both instantly let go of me. "Don't hurt him please" I turned to the Alpha, "he's my brother" I said.
"Your brother?" he said slowly. I nodded and he looked Mason up and down, taking in our same red hair and green eyes. "Fine," he said, nodding at me. I sighed in relief.
"Don't hurt him Mase, he's my mate" I told my brother who snorted in annoyance and glared at the man.
"Whatever"he mumbled, not happy about the situation one bit.The Alpha used the pause to grab my arm and pull me to his side.
"Mine" he mumbled as I bumped into his side. His touch sent shivers up my spine and made butterflies flutter in my stomach. I gulped as I looked up at him, he was watching me carefully. I gasped as he brought his hand up to cup my cheek, his thumb running up my skin slowly. I've never felt so shocked in my life, it felt amazing.
"Oh brother, get a room" Mason rolled his eyes at me and the Alpha dropped his hand from my face. Both the Alpha and I glared at him.
"We need to get back to the territory" the Alpha said suddenly and turned around to the other wolves behind him. I had completely forgotten they were there. He began to bark order at them, fast and rushed.
Mason took the opportunity to pull me out of the Alpha's grip and to his side. The Alpha gave him a quick pointed look but he let it go. "We can sneak out now If you want" Mason whispered to me.
"He's my mate Mase" I sighed, running a hand through my short hair.
"Yeah whatever" he mumbled back, pouting his lips childishly. Hands gripped me from behind, pulling me to the Alpha's chest. I tried not to smile as I leant against his chest, I really did try. But I failed.
"Let me take you back to my territory" he told me, his head bent so his lips were by my ear. I shivered as his breath blew over my ears.
"Can Mason come too?" I asked hopefully.
"Mason ... your brother?" he asked. I nodded and he told me he could. "What Is your name, little mate?" he asked as we walked out the school, all thoughts of afternoon lessons forgotten.
"Allison" I told him and he smiled as he led me out of the school.
"Allison my mate" he whispered and I smiled back at him. "I am Alpha Brody of the Vega Moon pack" he told me and I nodded at him as he led me to the surrounding forest. "We'll run back to my territory" he told me, "are you okay with that?" I nodded.
"I suggest you don't be with my sister when she shifts" Mason spoke up and Brody glared at him but nodded. Mason grabbed me and pulled me behind a tree to shift.
"I don't like this" Mason mumbled, "what if he knows ... him ... I don't want to get sent back to the pack Alli" he whispered. I nodded and bit my lower lip.
"It'll be fine Mase, he's my mate. He'll protect us".
I shifted into my large wolf, my coat a light brown almost red colour and my eyes a dark black. My wolf was bigger than the average she-wolf, just like Mason's wolf was bigger than the average male wolf. Mason's wolf was the same colour as mine, but his was a lot bigger and bulkier than mine. My wolf was a lot more streamline and delicate.I collected my jeans and shirt in my mouth and jogged out from behind the tree, Mason close behind me. The Alpha, Brody, had also shifted; his wolf was a dark black and was a close size to Mason's.Brody ran over to me and growled, his eyes wondering over my wolf in happiness. He rubbed his head against my neck and I growled in response; a happy, cheerful growl. Mason rushed over and pushed Brody away from me. He stood in front of me, blocking Brody from me. Brody growled at him in anger, Mason returned the growl.Boys, I thought to myself before I rolled my eyes and pushed Mason's side with my head. He got the idea and gestured, with his head, for
I woke up and stifled a yawn. I heard a groan next to me and turned to see Mason stirring from his sleep. We still hadn't finished unpacking, so we were sharing a mattress on the floor. "Good morning starshine the earth says hello" I quoted to him. He gave me a look, Mason wasn't a morning person."I hate you" he grumbled and I chuckled."Well I was going to make you pancakes for breakfast, but now ... " I trailed off and his eyes shot open."Love you" he said cuddling up to me."Uh huh" I rolled my eyes at him before I got up. I changed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, I wasn't exactly the type of person to dress up. I whipped you some pancaked before physically kicking Mason off the mattress. He swore at me for a continuous two minutes before he saw the breakfast and shut up."You know there were pack wolves stalking our apartment last night don't you?" Mason asked between mouthfuls. "Your stupid Alpha boyfriend had them watching you, as if I can't look after you just fine by my
As we ate I noticed someone waving at me. I squinted to see a small brunette rushing over to our table. "Hey Marissa" I greeted her as she sat down on our table."Hi Luna" she smiled at me."You can call me Alli you know" I informed her."Well in that case, hi Alli"."Sorry, who are you?" Mason blurted rudely, I kicked him under the table for being so rude. He glared at me but stayed silent before turning back to watch Marissa closely."Brody's sister ... we met yesterday" she said trying to remind him. He gave her a blank stare, not recalling her face at all. "You and my brother were having a tug of war over the Luna and I pulled her away," she prompted."Alli" I corrected her quickly."Oh right yeah sure" Mason shrugged, I could tell he didn't really care. Lunch seemed to drag, most Marissa talked and everyone listened. Mason and I felt the most uncomfortable, both of us not used to being around other wolves. We were used to the rouge lifestyle, and the rouge lifestyle was used to
"Wait what?" I squealed as I grabbed Brody's arm to stop him before he opened the bedroom door. "Your parents?" I gushed worriedly. I had only just met Brody, I wasn't prepared to meet his parents yet. My mate's parents. "Hey" he chuckled, slipping his hand under my chin and forcing my eyes up to meet him. "They'll love you" he laughed before he leant down and pecked my forehead before he moved away from me and opened the door. "About time son." A man chuckled as he walked into the room, a woman followed close behind him. The man was tall and with Brody's dark hair and eyes, it was obvious he used to be an Alpha from the way he held himself. He wore a designer suit and tie. The woman had blonde cropped hair behind her ears with small blue eyes, she was tall for a woman. She was also stunning. "Oh hello" the woman noticed me and gave an uneasy smile. "Do you mind if you leave us for a while? My son and I need to talk" she smiled awkwardly at me. "No" Brody spoke up, slipping his ar
I whimpered as he pulled away and he put his hands on my hips to stop me grinding into him. "Mine" he said, his eyes were black as I'm sure mine were. Both of our wolves worked up and wanted to mate. I tried to kiss him again, but he moved away. "Stop, no more" he whispered as we both caught our breaths.I began to feel rejected, knowing that it was too good to be true. He didn't enjoy it like I had. He wanted to stop because he thought it would be better. I shouldn't have been surprised. I wasn't skilled like all the other girls he's been with, I was a pathetic excuse for a mate. I knew that I shouldn't have been surprised. "Baby what's wrong?" Brody demanded, slipping his hand under my chin and forcing me to look into his eyes; they had returned to their chocolate brown colour. The colour that I loved so much. "Nothing" I mumbled, my eyes tearing up and my heart hammering nervously. I knew he was going to reject me. Why wouldn't he? I was an awful mate. I wasn't pretty. I wasn't e
I rolled my eyes as I saw Mason leant against my locker with a sour look on his face. As soon as he caught my scent his head snapped in my direction. He sighed and an easy smile fell onto his face. He pulled me into a tight hug as soon as I reached him."I missed you" he mumbled as he rested his chin on the top of my head. I chuckled as I cuddled closer into him. Mason and I may have only spent one night apart, but we had never done that before. Ever before we went rogue I used to sneak into Mason's room to sleep because I didn't want to be by myself.I hadn't really thought that much about Mason last night, Brody kept me distracted. But as soon as I woke up I felt his absence. I excepted to see his moody morning glare, but instead I got a toothy grin from Brody. I wasn't complaining I loved the way Brody smiled and kissed me good morning, but I did miss my grumpy twin."I missed you too Mase" I chuckled as I pulled away from his embrace and pecked his cheek softly. Mason leant forwar
Charlie and Lennon led me out the forest and back to the school. Lennon opened the car door for me and I climbed in the back, the couple climbed in the front. The drive was awkward and silent. "I just don't understand how you could fight like that" Lennon mumbled."Just practice" I shrugged, not wanting to talk about it anymore. The subject was touchy for me, it was not something I was comfortable talking about. Because talking about my wolf ended up with a conversation about being a rogue, which ended up with a conversation about my life before I went rogue. And that was not something I wanted to talk about, because that would mean talking about him. And he was not something I wanted to talk about. Ever."I mean not even I could take on three male rogues without shifting" Charlie chatted away, "and I'm a Beta"."Yeah, I mean don't get me wrong it was awesome" Lennon continued as he nodded in agreement with his mate. "Like the way you just like -. ""Enough" I snapped at them and they
My body was on fire,my skin coated in a layer of sweat. I could feel something heavy on me and I cried out in pain. I began to thrash and push on the thing that was on top of me. I was so hot. Too hot.I screamed and screamed until the heavy thing was off me. "Alli What the hell?"I heard Mason shout, he had been the heavy thing on me. I ignored him as I tried to stand up, I realised I was lying on his mattress. I stumbled onto my feet and rushed to the window.I let out strings of cusses as I tried to open the window, it wouldn't open. I screamed again, my skin felt like it was boiling. I drew my hand back and smashed it into the glass, it smashed easily. The cold air rushed in quickly, but it wasn't enough to cool my scorching body."Jesus Christ Alli, that's my window" Mason yelled as I pushed away as much glass as possible; trying to get the cold midnight air to cool my burning skin. I turned to see Mason who was lying on the floor, with messy hair and clothing, trying to arouse hi
