Chapter 20: Explosion

Connor's POV

I got up from sitting in the bed when we heard a loud explosion inside the palace. What was going on and where did that explosion come from?

“What happened, Alpha Connor?” Anastasia asked and was forcing herself to get up from the bed, so I went at her and then helped her from getting up.

“You need to rest, Anastasia,” I uttered, but she just shook her head at me.

“I am now fine, Alpha. Just help me to change my clothes, and we must check what is going on outside.” She uttered and I nodded my head at her. Although I wanted her to stay lying, I know that Anastasia worries about the situation outside. She wanted to know where that explosion come from.

“Are you sure that you're now fine?” I asked her and she nodded her head.

“Yes, Alpha Connor, and please stop worrying about me. We must get out of here and check where that explosion come from because I worried about my father and mother, Alpha Connor.” She mumbled, and I let out a deep breath first before speaking to her.
