The forest looked beautiful because the sun was shining brightly. Leaves were rustling on each other; branches swaying with the morning wind; and the chirping of the birds filled my ears. It was as if no thunderstorm took place yesterday.

While I was amazed by how green nature was in my eyes, the memory of me being beaten up made me want to be depressed and cry again. Not to mention that I was also imprisoned for days, starving and no one believing in me. It made my stomach churn and gulp.

I gasped a little bit when I noticed that I was about to bump into a tree if Diego did not just pull me against his chest. My chin bumped on his body and my eyes got immediately dozed by his red eyes. He was pursing his lips and deadpan looking at me. His hold of me felt so right and made my butterflies scatter inside my stomach.
