Sixty Four

Hera's POV

I'm back at the place I always see myself in my nightmares. This time there's no one or anything in sight. Just a vast and plain ashy ground with carcasses of skeletons scattered around as I walk on endlessly with no end of the place in sight.

I begin to feel tired so I take a seat and soon, I lay down to sleep and I'm sucked into another nightmare.

This time, it's new because I'm in a dark room with nothing in sight and I've never seen myself here before.

I quickly stand up once I begin to hear noises and when I look to my left, I catch the shadow of someone walking around but I don't see anybody.

“Who's there?” I call out but there's no reply so I repeat the same thing again and to my shock, it's my mother that I see.

I freeze when I see her and tears cloud my eyes when she smiles at me before pulling me into a hug and I hug her back immediately.

“I'm so sorry mum, I wish I did something that day to save all of you, they were just so many” I begin to apologize and she shu
