All day, I wanted to believe she did not mean those words. My Sarah was not a mean person and I tried to figure out what could have pressured her into saying such things but I could think of nothing.

The Martin family agreed to the meeting so soon and we were to have it that day. I swear I could have done everything to have the meeting postponed because I had not been in the right state of mine since that night.

But then, the issue we were meeting on, was a sensitive one so I could not just request a shift in the date. It might come to them as rude also so I just agreed to meet them.

I left the office with Myles instead. Chloe should have come with me as my secretary but I had my reasons for having her stay back.

Going with the planning team director made more sense too.

He drove us down to SH Bank and when we got there, some people were awaiting our arrival. Without too many security measures, we were led in through the VIP's elevator. Soon, we were at the president's office.
