It Had Better Be

SARAH'S POV

I felt a lump in my throat after saying it. Tears welled up from within but I pushed them back, this was not the best time to cry.

The good thing was that I had said what I wanted to say. His reaction was unexpected.

Damon laughed. "You are joking, Sarah." He replied.

I summoned all the courage and looked at him coldly. "I'm pretty sure I don't look funny. You can take that as an answer to your proposal." I concluded and walked out on him. I headed straight to the bedroom, then dropped by at the washroom. I turned on the faucet so its sound would conceal the sound of me crying.

"I'm sorry, Damon." I muttered as I cried my eyes out. I could not even imagine how hurt he felt right then.

I went straight to bed when I was done and I didn't know when I sleep off.

The night seemed to be a long one. I kept waking up every hour and to my utmost surprise everytime, it wasn't morning yet.

Morning finally came. My eyes were red 'cause I didn't get proper sleep. My head ached too so
