Today is my 18th birthday, but I've spent it cleaning and serving others. My arms are sore from serving pack members for three days straight. There is a big ceremony at the packhouse because the Alpha's son, Kian, is taking over as Alpha tomorrow. Kian completed his Alpha training, and everyone decided to start celebrating early.
So, little ol' me was their servant, with only one omega to help me.
I was treated like trash, a servant, because my Alpha father, Josiah Adalwolf, was the packs's biggest enemy years ago, and when he launched his last attack on this pack, many died. In retaliation, the Alpha of this pack attacked my father's pack and killed all high-ranking members, leaving my pack to suffer and dissolve. Some members joined other packs or turned rogue. The Alpha council didn't care at all, saying all my pack members were corrupt. I was found in the rubble of my house. I was only ten years old, and they brought me here to be a servant, as a way to atone for my father's sins. My parents died, but there are whispers that they lived and escaped, but most alphas said they saw him die. I cry whenever I think about them. I love them dearly, and we were happy, but Dad grew greedy and wanted more territory, so he started attacking other packs to get it. That's my story. I was once a princess in my pack, now I'm a hated servant.I glance at the clock and realize I should go back to bed. I want to squeeze in some sleep while everyone's drunk and not paying attention, but I'm starving, so I head to the kitchen for some food. I'm only allowed one meal a day, even though the Lake Moon pack is the wealthiest pack, but they hate me so much that they wouldn't even let me eat three meals.
I quickly make myself a butter sandwich and start to eat, but stop when I hear a familiar voice. "Oh, Trisha, did you see Kian? He's so handsome. I couldn't stop blushing." I know that annoying voice. It belongs to Lang, one of my top bullies. "I know, I'm still hot from when he winked at me after he arrived," the Gamma's daughter, Trisha, purrs. I hide behind the kitchen island, hoping they won't notice me. The cousins bully me more than the others. Kian and Trisha used to date in high school, but he ended it after he left for advanced alpha training. She was heartbroken and hated him, but in his presence, she seemed to have forgotten all about it. I feel someone yanking me up by my hair, and I groan in pain. Trisha smirks. "I thought I sensed insignificance in here," she sneers, glaring at me. Trisha is blonde and tan, always wears shimmery pink lipstick, and Lang is the opposite. Both gorgeous. I try to walk past them, but Lang yanks me back, and I hit my back against the island, making me wince. "What are you doing here? You should be serving, not eating, you fatty," Lang hisses, throwing my sandwich to the floor. I'm not fat; in fact, I'm leaner than she is. "I was just leaving," I grit out quietly, glaring at the two girls. Trisha slaps me suddenly, "How dare you glare at me, Nara!" I keep my hands in a fist, holding myself from punching her plastic face because only I will be punished if I retaliate, and sleeping on the disgusting dungeon floors was not on my plan today. "Get out, I don't want to see you," Lang orders. Her order doesn't faze me or make my wolf flinch. She's a gamma in rank, while I'm Alpha by blood, but these bitches seemed to lose their memories on that particular information. I'm about to leave when Karl walks in, and I freeze. The dude is a perv. He grabs my breast and ass whenever he feels like it, and when I kick him in the balls, like I did last week, he throws me in the dungeons, hits me, and starve me for five days until he releases me, not because his heart softens, but because work around the packhouse is slow, so I was needed to do it. "Hi, sweet Nara," he smirks, his eyes dipping to my breasts. I back away, keeping my eyes on me, but I bump into Lang, and she pushes me into his arms, laughing. "Watch where you're going, sweet Nara, you might make me think that you want me," he says close to my ear, and a shiver goes down my spine. I'd never want such a guy; he gives me the hibby gibbies. "Don't touch me," I growl, but he wraps his long arms around my body, squeezing me. I'm growling and screaming for him to let me go. I feel his shaft against my stomach, pressing hard. "That's how you make me feel every day, damn, Nara, why do you have to be a hot, and a murderer's daughter?" "The Mad Alpha's daughter. I hope she doesn't go crazy and attack all of us like her wrenched father," Trisha laughs. Everyone called my father the mad Alpha and constantly taunted me about it. I break free of Karl's grip and kick him where the sun doesn't shine. He doubles over, and I turn to punch Trisha in her face. She gasps, and they all attack me. They are kicking me while I'm lying in a fetal position, covering my head from their blows. "What the fuck are you doing?" A deep voice roars, and they all halt. Trisha's voice trembles as she answers, and she goes to the source of the voice. "Kian, Kian, I was attacked by that Nara, look, I'm bleeding," her voice switching to crying. "I didn't do anything to her. The bitch is crazy like her mad father," I try to get up, gripping the island for support, but I stumble. I thought I'd fall when strong arms catch me, and a tingling erupts all over my skin. I lift my gaze, and my breath gets caught in my chest. I have found my mate, and his name is Kian Karson. The new Alpha of the Lake moon pack and my antagonist. My hell....

KianFive days had passed since I discovered Nara was pregnant. My mind is unfocused, consumed by thoughts of her and our pup. I catch glimpses of her around the packhouse, but she is avoiding me like I carry the plague.I stare out the window, thoughts of my unborn child flooding my mind once again. Will I be a good father? What will it be like?My gaze shifts to a father and son playing in the garden. I can’t help but wonder, 'Will I have that with my child?' Will my butterfly ever let me? Right now, she hates me, and she has every right. She thinks I'm considering letting Stella raise our child, but that is not the case. I would never do that to her or our child.I'm in a conference room, holding a meeting with high-ranking members of the pack to discuss the recent attacks we have been facing.“Davon, what’s your report on the rogues attacking us?” I ask, finally looking back at the group. Davon straightens.“We captured a few after the recent attack, but they all killed themselves
NaraI turn to the voice. Stella is glaring at us, but her eyes are filled with tears. Kebby and Tina look confused about why we are in the garden, and the former gamma glares at me as though I'm causing trouble."Amelia, Kian, what is happening here?" Tina asks, sending a glare at Amelia, who snarls and crosses her arms, staring at Kian."She's pregnant... with my child," Kian says, his voice detached. I don't know whether to feel dread or happiness; if he doesn't care, maybe he'll let me leave the pack without any hassle. "What? Are you crazy?!" Stella shouts. She is enraged, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she tugs at her hair."No, she has to be lying, son," Kebby shakes his head. "She must leave this pack. Such false accusations won't be tolerated. Your association with her could ruin your chances of becoming the Alpha Supreme." I can't help but smile slightly at that. Yes, please kick me out of this pack.I glance at Kian; his body trembles with pent-up rage. I will mis
Nara"I wanted to be with you and make you happy forever." I turn to look at him, and he looks like a mess, just like I feel, with tears streaming down my cheeks."I swear we tried, my wolf and me," he says, his tone desperate."I will never leave you, ever!" Kian declared, placing his hand on his chest. "Why does everyone hate me? It's not my fault that my father did bad things," I said as I sniffled. Kian wiped away my tears."Butterfly, I'll marry you, and you'll be the mother of my son. No one will hate you because you'll be Luna," he said confidently. He was always so assured."Ew, we are best friends! I can't imagine us getting married!" I exclaimed, but deep inside, I loved the idea of marrying him. "You like the idea of marrying me. That's why you're blushing. You're so cute, little butterfly," he said, ruffling my hair. He then gripped my chin, and as he leaned in, he gave me a chaste kiss. I gasped, frozen in place. For a moment, he slipped his tongue into my mouth before
Amelia pov.I breathe in the fresh air of my pack as I step out of the car, a smile growing on my lips. "So good to be home," I sigh. Nothing much has changed. The packhouse was more of a manor than a mansion, and a few meters away were the houses of some pack members.I smile at my older sister, Tina. She was the Luna of the pack before her son took over."Hello, sis," I say, kissing her cheek. She pats my shoulder and takes a step back. I love my sister, but she can be difficult at times, and we often see things differently. However, her husband and I get along really well."Brother-in-law!" I exclaim as I wrap my arms around Kebby. He kisses the top of my head, and we exchange pleasantries."Where is my nephew?" I ask, looking around for Kian."He's getting ready for the party. Go to his room," Kebby says. I only came to this party to see Kian. I missed him, and the last time we spoke, he wasn't doing well. He felt lost and desperately wanted to be with his childhood love, yet here
Flashback I'm lying in Kian's bed again, exhausted after cleaning the second floor. Kian, too, is exhausted. His training has become intensive since he just turned 16. "Why are you so tired?" he asked. "I had to clean the second floor twice because Trisha and Lang kept spilling muddy water on the floor, and teasing me," I said, snuggling into him. He smelled so good. 'I'll deal with them," he yawned. "No, it will make it worse. Don't get involved, plus, I already put them in their place," I give him a devilish smile. He is impressed with him. "That's my girl," he praised, and I beamed. "Should I leave you to rest? You look beat, Kian," I feel bad for him."No, stay. Sleep with me," Kian groans, his eyes still closed. I feel myself blush. Kian had changed since I met him. He looked like a sixteen-year-old; he was taller with broad shoulders and had muscle, a real young man. Was it right to sleep in the same bed as him? While I contemplated, he wrapped an arm around me. "I can h
Nara"Where are you coming from, and dressed like a hooker?" I clutch my chest, startled, and turn my head as Kian approaches me, his steps graceful like a panther stalking its prey. He is looking at me with disapproval. My eyes travel over him. He is wearing grey sweatpants that sit low on his hips, revealing an enticing V-cut. His bare chest and broad shoulders are made of pure, perfect muscle. For a fleeting moment, I'm lost in the pure allure of his beauty, the kind that takes your breath away."Enjoying the view, butterfly?" he smirks, and I grimace, looking away."Nara! You're back, hi!" Max comes from the direction Kian came from. It seems they had gone running."Where's Echo?""My room. He’s a vicious little thing," he answers, pointing to a few scratches on his arms. I scowl, apolozing, "And how's my mate? Did you put in a good word for me?" he looks eager, like a child."She thinks you're an odd fellow," I quote Mya. Max frowns, but nods."At least she thinks of me, right?"
