Today is my 18th birthday, but I've spent it cleaning and serving others. My arms are sore from serving pack members for three days straight. There is a big ceremony at the packhouse because the Alpha's son, Kian, is taking over as Alpha tomorrow. Kian completed his Alpha training, and everyone decided to start celebrating early.
So, little ol' me was their servant, with only one omega to help me.
I was treated like trash, a servant, because my Alpha father, Josiah Adalwolf, was the packs's biggest enemy years ago, and when he launched his last attack on this pack, many died. In retaliation, the Alpha of this pack attacked my father's pack and killed all high-ranking members, leaving my pack to suffer and dissolve. Some members joined other packs or turned rogue. The Alpha council didn't care at all, saying all my pack members were corrupt. I was found in the rubble of my house. I was only ten years old, and they brought me here to be a servant, as a way to atone for my father's sins. I cry whenever I think about my parents. I love them dearly, and we were happy, but Dad grew greedy and wanted more territory, so he started attacking other packs to get it. That's my story. I was once a princess in my pack, now I'm a hated servant.I glance at the clock and realize I should go back to bed. I want to squeeze in some sleep while everyone's drunk and not paying attention, but I'm starving, so I head to the kitchen for some food. I'm only allowed one meal a day, even though the Lake Moon pack is the wealthiest pack, but they hate me so much that they wouldn't even let me eat three meals.
I quickly make myself a butter sandwich and start to eat, but stop when I hear a familiar voice. "Oh, Trisha, did you see Kian? He's so handsome. I couldn't stop blushing." I know that annoying voice. It belongs to Lang, one of my top bullies. "I know, I'm still hot from when he winked at me after he arrived," the Gamma's daughter, Trisha, purrs. I hide behind the kitchen island, hoping they won't notice me. The cousins bully me more than the others. Kian and Trisha dated in high school, but he ended it after he left for advanced alpha training. She was heartbroken and hated him, but in his presence, she seemed to have forgotten all about it. I feel someone yanking me up by my hair, and I groan in pain. Trisha smirks. "I thought I sensed insignificance in here," she sneers, glaring at me. Trisha is blonde and tan and always wears shimmery pink lipstick, while Lang is the opposite. Both gorgeous. I try to walk past them, but Lang yanks me back, and I hit my back against the island, making me wince. "What are you doing here? You should be serving, not eating, you fatty," Lang hisses, throwing my sandwich to the floor. I'm not fat; in fact, I'm leaner than she is. "I was just leaving," I grit out quietly, glaring at the two girls. Trisha slaps me suddenly, "How dare you glare at me, Nara!" I keep my hands in a fist, holding myself from punching her plastic face because only I will be punished if I retaliate, and sleeping on the disgusting dungeon floors is not in my plan today. "Get out, I don't want to see you," Lang orders. Her order doesn't faze me or make my wolf flinch. She's a gamma in rank, while I'm Alpha by blood, but these bitches seemed to lose their memories on that particular information. I'm about to leave when Karl walks in, and I freeze. The dude is a perv. He grabs my breast and ass whenever he feels like it, and when I kick him in the balls, like I did last week, he throws me in the dungeons, hits me, and starves me for five days until he releases me, not because his heart softens, but because work around the packhouse is slow, so I was needed to do it. "Hi, sweet Nara," he smirks, his eyes dipping to my breasts. I back away, keeping my eyes on me, but I bump into Lang, and she pushes me into his arms, laughing. "Watch where you're going, sweet Nara, you might make me think that you want me," he says close to my ear, and a shiver goes down my spine. I'd never want such a guy. He gives me the hibby gibbies. "Don't touch me," I growl, but he wraps his long arms around my body, squeezing me. I'm growling and screaming for him to let me go. I feel his shaft against my stomach, pressing hard. "That's how you make me feel every day, damn, Nara. Why do you have to be a hot, and a murderer's daughter?" "The Mad Alpha's daughter. I hope she doesn't go crazy and attack all of us like her wrenched father," Trisha laughs. Everyone called my father the mad Alpha and constantly taunted me about it. I break free of Karl's grip and kick him where the sun doesn't shine. He doubles over, and I turn to punch Trisha in her face. She gasps, and they all attack me. They are kicking me while I'm lying in a fetal position, covering my head from their blows. "What the fuck are you doing?" A deep voice roars, and they all halt. Trisha's voice trembles as she answers, and she goes to the source of the voice. "Kian, Kian, I was attacked by that Nara, look, I'm bleeding," her voice switching to crying. "I didn't do anything to her. The bitch is crazy like her mad father," I try to get up, gripping the island for support, but I stumble. I thought I'd fall when strong arms catch me, and a tingling erupts all over my skin. I lift my gaze, and my breath gets caught in my chest. I have found my mate, and his name is Kian Karson. The new Alpha of the Lake moon pack and my antagonist. My hell....

NaraThe room is suddenly intense. Adrian radiates confidence. He steps closer to me, and his scent passes through my nose. I gasp, stepping back. Vanilla and mint, just like that large rogue's scene in that alley. Was it him?My wolf snaps me out of my face, and I look at his face. He is scrutinizing me, face hard as if I'm something difficult to place, and I don't avert my gaze."I was wondering when you'd arrive," I said sarcastically."My invite must have gotten lost," he retorted, forcing a smile. "I wonder how," he hummed in thought."You were not invited here," I said, irritated."I have the biggest groups of rogues under me, why wasn't I? Is it because you are begging them for loyalty?" he asks, voice cold and smooth."Because you are directly working against me. Will you give me your loyalty if I ask?" I tilted my head as I asked. His throat worked suddenly as his gaze landed on my throat, and heat crept to my neck. Heat? He blinks, turns, and faces everyone. "Who amongst yo
NaraMy run is quiet today, no drama, no accident. I pass by that alley again to check, but there is nothing. I hope that girl is alright. I hike a mountain and enjoy the city's scenery. Most don't know that just beyond this forest, the mountain, is a community full of rogues. I head home. When I get home, I notice Concetta sitting alone in the salon, face facing the window into the garden and sniffing softly.I instantly go to her. "Are you crying? What happened?" I ask. She stands and throws her arms around me, wiping her tears. "I've received some sad news. An old friend of mine just turned feral last night. He. He was acting erratically, and he left the territory and never came back," she explains, crying, and I hold her tighter. This is the first time I've seen her look and sound so vulnerable."I'm sorry, we can send people to search for him." I offered, but she shakes her head no. "Her father has already done that. He's a faction leader," she looks at me seriously. "This is
AdrianNara Adalwolf is a strong wolf. Something I didn't expect, to be honest. I knew she had a command because of her royal ancestry, but I didn't think it would be strong either since she didn't grow up in the royal pack. Her command almost had me bowing and running off, and if I hadn't had Natalie's power in my system, I would have. After the spell Natalie did, she fainted, and I took her to my apartment and left her there. I'm now watching the cameras as she moves around the house, checking to see if there is someone.I've been watching her for hours; I can't stop. She's beautiful; she really is.'She's a future queen, and acts like one,' my wolf says, he seems impressed with her.'You're taken with her,' I tease.'You're not?''No, never. She's an Adalwolf, the man of the fucker,' I shout, and he retreats; he hates Josiah Adalwolf even in his death.Maddy pushes a drink towards me, and I look at
NaraI have been spending time learning how they operate in the rogue world, and Sonny, Asher, and Concetta have been patient with me. Their structure is different from packs; instead of Alphas, Betas, and Gammas as leaders, they have faction leaders. Each of these leaders can have several people under them.I'm now situated in my father's former office building, where we work. Most of my father's businesses were illegal, and he dealt with drugs, but we are clearing that out with the help of Kian and others. I just came out with our financial advisors and found a way to keep the businesses afloat without the illegal business. It's late in the evening, and I'm out for a stroll after a long day at the office. I walk through the quiet, clean streets when suddenly I hear a cry for help. I bolt towards it, my wolf complaining about not being in the mood to save anyone. She has been bitter because we have moved a while ago. When we reach the scene. I see two men cornering a petite girl; he
Nara Ciera, Concetta, and I are taking another stroll. Everything still looks peaceful, and nothing is as I imagined, but I notice that there are fewer people around this time. The reconstruction is almost done. The pack has beautiful buildings, bridges, parking lots, and arenas. It's beginning to look like a real community. At least Dad did something good. Ciera looks down today, but that's always the case with her, and I'm letting her heal at her own pace. However, I’m a little worried because she is pregnant. I suddenly reach for her hand as we walk, and she smiles at me. "I have to see a doctor soon," she says softly. "I'll ask Sonny to take you. Has Bradley contacted you?" I inquire. She frowns and shakes her head. I want to ask if Mason has been in touch, but I realize it’s not my place to do so. "Is that our dead Alpha's daughter? Hmm," An older woman sneers at me. "Yes, the traitor," The man beside her says, looking away and storming off. I frown, but Concetta touc
Adrian"Is she the rogue Alpha's daughter?" my right-hand woman, Natalia, asks. We are watching Josia's daughter enter her new residence. She's beautiful, tall with long legs and short dark hair that suits her face. "She looks like her mother," I comment, still mesmerized. I can't believe I'm getting distracted by those legs. "She's mated to the Alpha Supreme, I can see why. The moon goddess really has her favorites," Natalia sounds bitter. Another woman, petite and blonde, steps out of the car after her. She’s pregnant too. Our spies didn’t mention she would arrive with someone. "Are you going to kill her to stop her from becoming Alpha Queen?" Natalia asks seriously. I glance at Nara Adalwolf one more time before turning to her. "Not now. It would be too quick, too suspicious, and we’d lose half our support," I tell her. I am the rightful heir of the rogues. I was there while Josiah mistreated and ruthlessly killed them. I helped them, and they chose me, well, half of them did.
NaraA breathy shake escapes my lips. I know what we are supposed to do. I need to ensure that the pack members are safe in the bunkers. Kian instructed me to stay there too, but I can’t when he is out there, putting his life on the line.'Nara, you need to stay there,'
NaraI've been training with Kian and the others, but mainly it's Doty who has been focusing on my endurance and flexibility. My fighting skills are okay at best. We are heading back to the packhouse after our morning training when I notice Stella standing a few feet from us, wearing a dee

NaraThe door opens, and I know who has entered the room without looking. I'm still on the floor, unable to move my body."It's my father. He killed those warriors." I say, my voice raspy. He crouched behind me and pulled me into his arms. "I thought so. He's coming, isn't he?" he asks. I only mana
